Erik Jones has not had the most pleasant 2023 season so far. Jones and his Legacy Motor Club Chevy did not qualify well. He starts the NOCO 400 from the 28th position on Sunday. Jones does finish better later in races, however. He showed positive place differential in the last three appearances (five of previous seven). However, is Jones too far down to make much of an impact? The big concern is total speed at Richmond was lacking (33rd). Phoenix was not much better at 24th. Could Martinsville be better?
