Chris Taylor is a 2023 fantasy baseball draft sleeper at 2B/OF, and is an ADP draft value. Target Taylor as an undervalued 2B/OF in fantasy baseball drafts.
BALLER MOVE: Draft target ~pick 275
CURRENT ADP: ~295 overall
ANALYSIS: Chris Taylor is coming off his worst campaign since he was a Seattle Mariner. His average was down to .221, he hit just 10 home runs, and he collected 45 runs and 43 RBI across 118 games. Taylor also dealt with numerous ailments and missed about a month of baseball while on the injured list.
Now, it seems he’s played himself out of an everyday role. But fantasy owners have to keep in mind that Taylor, someone who can play all over the diamond, has never failed to appear in less than 76.5% of his team games in L.A., except for 2022. The Dodgers are also not as deep offensively as they have been, so he should still play in at least 120 games even while listed as a weak-side platoon option.
The former fifth-rounder is still a power threat- he’s posted a barrel rate of no less than 10.2% in the last three years. Taylor plays in a great venue and hasn’t hit many grounders over the previous two seasons. Considering he went deep 20 times in 2021, there’s no question he can provide at least 15 or 16 big flies next year.
Taylor's also an above-average baserunner. He had 83rd-percentile sprint speed in 2022 with 10 steals and is averaging 13 stolen bases per 162 games since 2020. Taylor can play second and outfield in fantasy baseball and will give managers production in four categories but is only being drafted around pick 295, great value for this kind of bench option.

Chandler Simpson - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues CALL-UP ETA: July ANALYSIS: Unlike many players currently in the minor leagues, Chandler Simpson has proven he can be a valuable fantasy player at the MLB level. In his time in the majors, he hit .285 with 19 stolen bases in 35 games. Unfortunately, being a valuable fantasy player […]

Brady House - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: The Nationals went viral on social media this week for making a fun call-up. They called up their bat dog from Triple-A. While this was very cute and should improve the vibes a little bit in Washington, I don't think Bruce the Bat Dog will help […]

Samuel Basallo - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: Samuel Basallo might be the best hitter in the minors right now, and he has catcher eligibility. What more do you need to know (I know catcher is super deep this year, but still)? Basallo has been an age-to-level monster for the majority of his pro […]

Andrew Painter - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: Painter's last two starts don't give a ton of confidence that he is ready to be in the majors. It may not even be before the All-Star break before we see him, but that does not mean we are in stash territory. The good news is, […]

Colby Thomas - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues CALL-UP ETA: July ANALYSIS: The A's continue to lose, and Colby Thomas continues to hit homers in Triple-A. The A's just got swept by the Angels, bringing their record to 26-44. While plays like Denzel Clarke's HR robbery can generate a spark for a team, the A's might need […]
