DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/27/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Shohei Ohtani - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on June 27, 2022. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We return to normal after the chopped-up Saturday and Sunday slates with a nice nine-game lineup for our primetime entertainment tonight. There's a little something for everyone on this one.

We have the Dodgers in Coors. We have the Twins playing Cleveland again. It feels like they have been playing them for most of June. The Mariners and Angels are both taking to the diamond again with possible suspensions to be handed down. Keep a close eye on Seattle's lineup since they had three position players tossed yesterday.

As always, this article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. Monday's main slate locks at 7:05 EST on 6/27/2022. The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack! You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all of that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Martin Perez at KC ($8,900 DK, $9,700 FD)

Boy, those touts claiming the other shoe finally dropped when Perez got tattooed by the White Sox in Chicago a fortnight ago are pretty quiet. In two starts since then, Perez has allowed just one run in 13 innings. Yeah, one of those games was against Detroit, but the other was against Philly and they weren't the ones that scored the run. Maybe Perez is really that good.

Yeah, I have my doubts too, but we can't argue the results so far. Still, Perez has a 4.51 career ERA in 11 seasons. There is always the potential for a game like he had against the Pale Hose. I don't see it happening against a struggling Kansas City team. Perez has a career of 3.81 ERA and hasn't lost in five starts at Kauffman Stadium. Perez isn't going to offer the potential to take down a GPP, but he should be a cash game star tonight.

George Kirby vs. BAL ($7,100 DK, $9,000 FD)

There are a lot of really good SP2 options on DraftKings tonight, but DK continues to drop the ball on Kirby's price. That makes Kirby the easiest choice out there on DraftKings. He probably won't pay off the price on FanDuel due to his good (but not great) strikeout total and the fact that he hasn't gone more than six innings in a start.

The bad news ends there. Kirby has only allowed seven earned runs in his last five starts, including blanking the Orioles in Baltimore for six innings at the end of May. The Orioles have hit a little better of late, but they still aren't hitting a ton of homers and have struck out at an alarming 31.7% rate over the last week. We should see Kirby provide great value on DraftKings again tonight. On FanDuel, I'd lean more towards the upside of Lopez or the consistency of Wainwright if spending over 9K on a pitcher.

Also consider: Pablo Lopez, Jordan Montgomery, Adam Wainwright, Tyler Wells

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani - 1B/OF, LAA vs. Lucas Giolito ($6,100 DK, $4,100 FD)

What is wrong with Lucas Giolito? The ERA sits at a bloated 5.40 after three straight years under 4.0, and he has allowed 15 runs (including four homers) over his last two starts. Yes, the Angels are an easier test for Giolito, but Ohtani has smacked him around in his career. Ohtani is 5-for-17 with a pair of homers off of Giolito in his career. The Angels are a low-key stack option for those of you in large-field GPPs. Ohtani is a strong play regardless.

Gio Urshela - 3B, MIN at Triston McKenzie ($3,700 DK, $2,300 FD)

3B is loaded, but I'm going with a cheaper option here. Why? Urshela only has five homers on the season, but three of those have come against the team that signed him. Urshela is hitting a robust .333 with three homers and six RBI against the Guardians. He ups that to a 4-for-8 lifetime mark against McKenzie with a pair of homers. I really love the discount on FanDuel with Urshela here. He's cheap enough to see if he can still punish the team that signed him 14 years ago.

Oneil Cruz - SS, PIT at Erick Fedde ($3,800 DK, $3,200 FD)

Cruz has yet to hit his first homer and Fedde isn't really prone to the long ball. That said, Cruz has been on base in all but one game in his first week in the majors and the Pirates are putting him in great lineup spots. Fedde has been much worse at home this season (5.03 ERA in seven starts; five of his seven homers allowed are at Nationals Park), so I don't mind going after him a little with some Pirates rookies.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Giancarlo Stanton - OF, NYY vs. Paul Blackburn ($5,000 DK, $3,500 FD)

Are you ready for your mind-blowing stat of the day? Paul Blackburn is 5-0 with a 1.00 ERA on the road this season! The bad news for Blackburn is that the Bombers are hitting .471 against him. Yes, it's a small sample size, but the Yankees are the hottest team in baseball right now. Stanton may be the hottest of them all with three homers in the four-game set against the Astros that just concluded yesterday. I might not stack this because of Blackburn's excellent road numbers, but I definitely want some exposure in case he implodes. After all, he gave up seven runs against Seattle in his last start.

Cody Bellinger - OF, LAD at Chad Kuhl ($4,400 DK, $3,400 FD)

I'll say right now that I'll be under the field on Coors tonight on both sides of the game. Kuhl has been better at home than on the road, primarily due to his sinker. The bad news for Kuhl is that the sinker is the only pitch that Bellinger has a positive run value against this season. Bellinger is a career .301 hitter at Coors and is slugging .552 against sinkers this year. If I use Dodgers, I'll start with Bellinger and Freeman. I'm still not full-stacking this though.

Hunter Dozier - OF/1B, KC vs. Martin Perez ($3,100 DK, $2,300 FD)

Don't believe that Martin Perez is for real? Here's your chance for leverage on the field. Dozier is starting to heat up a little and he has two career homers against Perez in 17 at-bats. I don't think I'm brave enough to really go after Perez, but Dozier and Edward Oliveras are great options on the cheap that are going to be front and center if the Royals manage to get to him.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are my top stacks for tonight (in the order in which I like them):

Toronto Blue Jays - Connor Seabold struggled a bit in his only major league appearance last September. He has been outstanding for AAA Worcester this year, but the Blue Jays are an entirely different animal. They are hitting .285 with 46 homers in June. Seabold is the latest to get a shot at the fifth starter spot for the Red Sox vacated first by Nathan Eovaldi, then Garrett Whitlock due to injuries. Truth be told, Seabold can't be any worse than Kutter Crawford, but he might be close. The Jays could feast (again) here. Don't forget to run this back with a couple of Bostonians. Gausman has been roughed up on the road a bit lately.

Texas Rangers - The Rangers can throw quite a few righties out there against Kris Bubic. You know, the guy with the nauseating 7.78 ERA in six home starts. Bubic has been better lately, but the Rangers are starting to hit the ball better as well. Bubic still walks too many batters to be effective. I'll side with the Texas righties here.

Minnesota Twins - I can't get away from what the Twins have done to poor Triston McKenzie in his career. They have slugged eight homers off of him in just 74 at-bats. McKenzie has had a strong year, but he has still allowed nine runs (including a staggering five homers) to the Twins in two starts. McKenzie has a 7.15 ERA against the Twins and a 2.86 mark against the rest of the league.

I hope I gave you a head start on your research today and I wish you the best of luck! If you ever have questions about DFS or fantasy baseball, my DMs are always open and I appreciate you taking the time to read my picks today.
