Marco Gonzales Leaves Start After Getting Hit By Liner
Marco Gonzales left his Wednesday start against the Tampa Bay Rays in the first inning after being hit in the left wrist by a line drive. Gonzalez was on his 11th pitch of the game when Harold Ramirez sent a liner back up the middle, striking Gonzales on his pitching arm. The veteran hurler was replaced on the mound by Yohan Ramirez. Gonzales will head off for X-rays, so expect the Mariners to update his status after the completion of Wednesday's game. The 30-year-old has a 3.86 ERA through four starts in 2022.
