NCAA Tournament DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for 3/20 - March Madness Daily Fantasy

Kofi Cockburn daily college fantasy basketball CFB DFS picks March Madness - rotoballer icon

Today's DraftKings NCAA Tournament DFS lineup picks for college basketball on 3/20/22. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice for 2022 March Madness.

We have gone from 68 down to 32 already. After tonight we will be down to 16. This is the back end of the two most chaotic days in sports. We saw Baylor get knocked out and St. Peter's strut their way into the Sweet Sixteen. What other eight teams will join them?

We start off with Houston and Illinois, then Ohio State and Villanova getting air time for themselves. The action picks up in the 5pm hour with Michigan State facing Duke and Iowa State taking on Wisconsin. The next hour brings Notre Dame against Texas Tech and Miami tangling with Auburn. The final two slots in the Sweet Sixteen will be between Texas and Purdue and Arizona and TCU.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/20/22 starting at 12:10 pm Eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings DFS Guards - NCAA Tournament

Kyler Edwards, Houston ($8,000)

Edwards turned in his fifth game of 35+ DraftKings points out of his last six in the first round against UAB. It's going to be a little tougher going for Edwards against Illinois, but the strong peripherals that Edwards brings to the table make him a favorite of mine. Edwards has 25 rebounds, 16 assists, four steals, and a block to go with his 53 points over the last three games. That can pile up points in a hurry.

Tyrese Hunter, Iowa State ($7,000)

Hunter is a big reason that the Cyclones are not only hanging around on Sunday, but how the Cyclones made it at all. This team won two games last season. Two. They have a great chance of winning that many in the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Hunter put up 43.25 DraftKings points and scored 23 of his team's 59 points in the first round. I like the fact that even if Wisconsin succeeds in uglying this game up, Hunter is still likely to put up a strong stat line.

Charlie Moore, Miami ($6,700)

Moore picked up his fourth straight game of 30+ DraftKings points in the opening win over USC. He is stuffing the stat sheet in every category right now. Moore only has 57 actual points in those four games. He's relying on plenty of peripherals to get him to the promised land – peripherals that will against be there against Auburn.

K.D. Johnson, Auburn ($5,800)

Johnson put up a well-rounded line in his 30 minutes against Jacksonville State in the opener. That marked Johnson's third game over 25 DraftKings points out of the last four. He's gotten hot at tournament time, which is a great thing for the Tigers and for us. The Tigers will have to score to keep up with Miami and Johnson is a cheaper way to get exposure to a volume shooter. Don't be put off by his monumentally horrible game against A&M in the SEC Tournament. The chances of Johnson ever going 0-for-14 with zero points in a game again are about the same as me using up one of my remaining years of eligibility and walking on at Oklahoma. It's just not happening.

Jeremy Roach, Duke ($4,900)

The Blue Devils put Roach back in the starting five for the first time since February 12 in round 1 of Coach K's final dance. He put up a strong stat line against Fullerton, but it will be a little tougher against Michigan State. A deeper dive reveals that Roach made his hay more with assists than points. I'll take a shot on him again as long as Roach starts against the Spartans again.

Also consider: Johnny Davis, Wisconsin ($8,800); Izaiah Brockington, Iowa State ($7,600); Damion Baugh, TCU ($6,900); Malaki Branham, Ohio State ($6,600); Dalen Terry, Arizona ($6,300); Andrew Jones, Texas ($6,000); Chucky Hepburn, Wisconsin ($5,600); Pelle Larsson, Arizona ($4,800); Allen Flanigan, Auburn ($4,400)

DraftKings DFS Forwards - NCAA Tournament

Kofi Cockburn, Illinois ($9,300)

Even in the ugly win, Cockburn put up his third consecutive game over 40 DraftKings points. Once again, Houston isn't a team with a lot of size either. Only one player tops 6'8". Cockburn presents a big matchup problem for Houston, but the Illini will have problems with the quickness of Houston. Cockburn's skill set practically guarantees another double-double here, giving him a nice floor to go with his high ceiling.

Jabari Smith, Auburn ($8,700)

The biggest players step up on the biggest stages. Smith has at least 33 DraftKings points in every game for the last five weeks. Kessler's output is a little more volatile. Smith is good for around 20 points and ten rebounds in every game he plays lately. The freshman is only getting better as the season goes on and right now the stage doesn't seem to be too big for him.

Trevion Williams, Purdue ($6,800)

Williams put up a staggering 27 DraftKings points in just 18 minutes against Yale in the opener. His sixth-man status is going to push a lot of people off of Williams, but he routinely blows past 25 DraftKings points even in 20 minutes of court time or less. I'm not a huge fan of the matchup against Texas, but Williams should get most of his action against the Texas bench. His customary output should still be there.

Coleman Hawkins, Illinois ($5,000)

Most are going to chase Joey Hauser's ceiling game and I'm okay with that. I wont be one of them. Instead, I'm going with the size of Illinois against an undersized Houston team. As if Cockburn isn't enough of a load on his own, the Illini have another near 7-footer in Hawkins and he has been a beast in the last three games. Hawkins has 85.75 DraftKings points in those three contests. I'll ride this wave of production instead of chasing Hauser for the same price.

J'Wan Roberts, Houston ($3,800)

I feel like the Cougars are going to need all of the size they can get tonight. Roberts has five straight games of double-digit DraftKings points. He likely wont hurt our lineups much, but there is no upside unless Houston lands in some serious foul trouble in this game.

Also consider: E.J. Liddell, Ohio State ($9,200); Walker Kessler, Auburn ($9,000); Christian Koloko, Arizona ($7,900); Timmy Allen, Texas ($7,100); AJ Griffin, Duke ($6,000); Kevin Obanor, Texas Tech ($5,800); Aljaz Kunc, Iowa State ($4,600)
