Week 16 Fantasy Football Quarterback Outlooks

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford continues to play at a high level, but he'll be without one of his favorite weapons for Thursday's Week 16 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for the primetime contest, which means that Stafford will have to find a new favorite target around the goal line. Adams has been an elite touchdown threat this season, accounting for 14 of Stafford's 37 touchdowns so far.

Puka Nacua will continue to be Stafford's most-involved receiver on Thursday, and Colby Parkinson should also continue to earn more opportunities at the tight end position. Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield could earn more snaps at wide receiver alongside Nacua. While losing Adams certainly hurts Stafford's fantasy value, the veteran quarterback should still be able to post low-end QB1 fantasy value with Nacua, Parkinson, and other key pass-catchers at his disposal.

Managers should perhaps be more concerned about the matchup, as the Seahawks have allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in 2025. They also have the fourth-most interceptions. Stafford ranks as the overall QB12 in RotoBaller's latest fantasy football rankings for Week 16.

Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is not a great streaming option in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Rams. Darnold has been in a bit of a slump over the last few weeks. He is turning the ball over far too much, and he is not throwing touchdowns. The last time these two teams met, Darnold threw four interceptions in one of the worst games of his career. While you should not expect a repeat of that performance, Darnold's touchdown upside will be capped with him, and the Seahawks' offense as a whole has been struggling to find the end zone over the past few weeks.

The Rams have been one of the best defenses in the league this season. With the Seahawks boasting a stellar defense of their own, this could be a low-scoring affair on a short week. With everything on the line in the fantasy football playoffs, Darnold is not someone you want to hitch your wagon to in Week 16.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that quarterback Lamar Jackson (illness) was kept at home on Wednesday due to flu-like symptoms, according to Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan. Jackson has been a regular DNP in Wednesday practices this year, but mainly due to nagging lower-body injuries. This week, he's under the weather. The 28-year-old two-time MVP has been held out of practice early in the week in recent weeks with an ankle injury, but he said last week that he has been improving.

He should be ready to go by Sunday night for a showdown against the New England Patriots, where he'll be more of a low-end QB1 in fantasy football. Jackson looked a little more like himself in last week's shutout win over the Bengals, but he completed only eight passes and ran the ball twice. He hasn't thrown for over 300 yards at all in 2025 and has had more than one touchdown pass just once in his last six contests. On top of that, Jackson only has two rushing touchdowns this season.

Philip Rivers, Indianapolis Colts

Making his first start since January 2021, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers managed to hold his own in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks. The 44-year-old completed 18 of 27 pass attempts for 120 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, and nearly led his team to an upset victory on the road. The Colts announced that Rivers will make another start in Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers, who are expected to be a more manageable matchup than Seattle.

Fantasy expectations should remain limited for Rivers, as he provides zero value as a rusher and averaged just 4.4 yards per pass attempt against the Seahawks. However, Rivers may be more productive as he gains more time to work with the Colts' pass catchers and becomes more familiar with the team's offense. In deep, two-quarterback fantasy leagues, Rivers could be a streaming option off the waiver wire in Week 16.

Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

In a clip from HBO's "Hard Knocks: In Season with the NFC East," Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn is seen emphasizing the importance of hitting New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart when Dart takes off as a runner. Based on the clip, Giants beat writer Dan Duggan of The Athletic speculates that Dart "clearly has a target on his back as a runner." The rookie quarterback has been highly effective with his legs so far this season, recording 400 rushing yards and seven touchdowns across 11 games (nine starts).

However, he also missed two games due to a concussion and has drawn criticism for his tendency to absorb unnecessary contact. If the 2-12 Giants pull back the reins on Dart as a rusher, his fantasy production would clearly be impacted. While Dart has shown little indication of being hesitant to run so far this season, it's a storyline worth monitoring as the team prepares to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16.

Quinn Ewers, Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins announced they will be benching quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and starting rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers. While former first-round pick Zach Wilson was an option as well, they will be rolling with the rookie with their playoff hopes completely eliminated. The 2025 seventh-round pick led the Texas Longhorns to the semifinals in 2024, totaling 3,472 yards and 32 touchdowns in 14 games. In the preseason, Ewers completed 23 of 43 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.

Ewers is hard to trust for fantasy managers, even against the Cincinnati Bengals, who have given up the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. While running back De'Von Achane will remain an elite RB1, pass catchers Jaylen WaddleMalik Washington, and Darren Waller all become more volatile options.
