Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson was the 75th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson had an outstanding college career, throwing for 3,175 yards and 33 touchdowns in his only season at Wisconsin.

He won the starting job as a rookie despite being a third-round pick. Wilson had 3,118 passing yards and 26 touchdowns in 2012. Furthermore, the rookie made the Pro Bowl and finished third in the Offensive Rookie of the Year award race.

Wilson had a productive career with the Seahawks. During his 10 years in Seattle, the veteran had over 37,000 passing yards and 292 touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl in all but one season. However, Wilson got traded to the Broncos last offseason for multiple draft picks and three veteran players.

Unfortunately, the star quarterback had a disappointing first year in Denver. Wilson completed only 60.% of his pass attempts, a career low. Furthermore, he had 11 interceptions, matching the second-highest total of his career.

While the veteran had a disappointing season, Wilson did have some positive moments. He ended the year with 3,524 passing yards and 16 touchdowns.

Wilson has been a consistent QB1 for fantasy players in his career. The veteran had never finished lower than QB11 in any year of his career until 2021 when he missed three games with an injury. Unfortunately, the former Wisconsin star didn’t bounce back last year. He ended the season as the QB16, averaging 15 fantasy points per game, a career low.

The veteran had a terrible first season in Denver. However, Wilson played better to end the year. He averaged 241.5 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 20.1 fantasy points per game over his final four contests. Furthermore, Wilson had three top-five weekly finishes.

While the veteran struggled last season, fantasy players should be encouraged by how he ended the year. Furthermore, the entire Broncos team played better once Nathaniel Hackett got fired. More importantly, Denver traded for Sean Payton this offseason.

Payton had success with Drew Brees in New Orleans. While there are reports that the head coach isn’t the biggest fan of Wilson, that shouldn’t stop fantasy players from drafting the Denver quarterback. Wilson has an ADP of QB18 on Underdog Fantasy and is an excellent value at that price.
