Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 6:
Jaylen Waddle, WR - Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle recorded six catches for 110 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in his team's 27-24 Week 5 loss to the Carolina Panthers. In the team's first game of 2025 without star wideout Tyreek Hill (knee), Waddle stepped in admirably as the number one option in the passing game for Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Waddle now has 23 catches for 295 yards and three touchdowns through five games in 2025. With Hill set to miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury, Waddle could be a must-start fantasy wide receiver the rest of the way. He is a must-start WR that carries WR2 upside in Week 6, given his projected target share.
Matthew Golden, WR - Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden has seen an incremental upward trajectory over the past several weeks for the Packers and for fantasy managers. Golden is coming off his best week yet, with a season-high six targets, plus five receptions for 58 yards. He's also starting to see the field regularly with route shares of 82 percent and 72 percent in his last two games.
In addition, Golden's first-read target shares have increased substantially, going from three total first-read targets in the first two weeks of the season to nine in the next two contests.
Interestingly, Golden was used much more in the slot in Week 4, flipping his role with Dontayvion Wicks, who had been used in the slot more since Jayden Reed (clavicle, foot) was injured. That could prove to be a launching point to get Golden in more jet motion and use him in space for YAC opportunities. After the Packers' bye in Week 5, Green Bay hosts the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.
With the continued upward climb of Golden, he's a big-time upside FLEX play for fantasy managers this week.
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR - Atlanta Falcons
After rewatching the tape of the Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing said he felt like he didn't do enough to get wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. the ball down the stretch, according to Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic. "Going back and looking at it, I think there's maybe a couple of things I could've done differently," Petzing said.
Harrison had only five targets on the day, which tied for a season low, but he caught four of them to finish two yards shy of the century mark for the first time in 2025. He caught a season-high six passes on 10 targets in Week 4 for 66 yards and his second touchdown of the year. The 23-year-old former first-rounder nearly had a 44-yard TD early in the game on Sunday and did most of his damage in the first half before Arizona's offense sat on their lead after halftime.
Look for Arizona to feature Harrison early and often in Week 6 on the road against the Indianapolis Colts. He carries high-end WR3/FLEX upside this weekend.
Alvin Kamara, RB - New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara recorded a season-low eight carries for 27 yards and added four receptions for 28 yards in the Week 5 win over the Giants. He has now gone five straight games without a touchdown as defenses continue to focus on stopping him. The run game could start to open up, however, as Rashid Shaheed's 87-yard touchdown reception may force defenses to respect the big-play threat.
Another concern is that Kamara's snap count fell to a season-low 37, accounting for just 56% of the team's offensive snaps. With Kendre Miller emerging and trade rumors swirling around Saints veterans, fantasy managers should monitor Kamara closely. He ranks as a low-range RB2 against the Patriots.
Kareem Hunt, RB - Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt had seven carries for 49 yards and two touchdowns while catching his only target for eight yards in Monday night's loss to the Jaguars. Hunt plunged his way to a 5-yard and 2-yard touchdown with both coming in the fourth quarter. Hunt played 33% of the snaps compared to backfield mate Isiah Pacheco at 62%, but both ended with seven carries.
Pacheco ran the most routes of any Kansas City running back, while Hunt seems to have the goal-line role locked down. That puts Hunt as the guy to have if fantasy managers had to pick a Chiefs running back, but it will more often than not be a tough one to hammer down. He is a viable high-floor FLEX option this weekend facing the Detroit Lions.
