Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 15:
Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
The carries were split almost evenly with Kimani Vidal, and it's uncertain if this division will continue or if the Chargers are still gradually reintegrating Hampton into his starting role. OC Greg Roman recently said he prefers a hot-hand approach, but right now is "seeing two guys with the hot hand," which is "a good problem to have." Hampton faces the Kansas City Chiefs, who are among the top teams in rushing yards allowed. Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo will aim to shut down the run and force the injured Justin Herbert to pass.
Considering Herbert's recent limitations and the team's reliance on the ground game, Hampton will be a crucial part of the offense. RotoBaller ranks him as RB27 this week. Hampton is a strong, albeit volume-limited, high-end RB3 with touchdown potential in a run-heavy game plan.
Chris Rodriguez Jr., RB, Washington Commanders
The 25-year-old has operated as Washington's primary early-down back with Jeremy McNichols handling passing-down responsibilities. He's recorded double-digit carries in four of the past five games, and he and Kyren Williams are the only two running backs with at least 25 carries to post a 70% rushing success rate or higher over that span.
If he's active, Rodriguez will look to take advantage of a favorable matchup on Sunday against the division-rival Giants, who have the 31st-ranked rushing defense, allowing 154.2 rushing yards per game. C-Rod ranks as RotoBaller's RB26 in PPR leagues.
Devin Neal, RB, New Orleans Saints
He's averaging 71.3 scrimmage yards as the starter and scored his first career touchdown last week. Kamara is trending toward missing another game, leaving Neal in line to start against the Carolina Panthers, assuming he's healthy enough to play.
At this rate, Neal has a decent chance to suit up in Week 15 as long as he logs a limited or full practice on Friday. If Neal is confirmed as active and Kamara is out, the rookie will rank as a mid-to-low RB2 in fantasy football.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Cleveland Browns
His one shining play, and almost touchdown, was his 58-yard reception late in the first quarter. Judkins is set to continue his workhorse role with rookie running back Dylan Sampson (calf, hand) ruled out and running back Jerome Ford (shoulder) placed on Injured Reserve earlier this week. The Bears are an average matchup for opposing running backs, and with frigid temperatures expected in Chicago on Sunday, the Browns should lean more on their ground game.
Judkins is in line to see the vast majority of the Browns' rushing volume and is seeing more involvement in the passing game, making him a high-end RB2 heading into Week 15.
Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Hunt had 12 carries for 30 yards, and Pacheco had nine carries for 30 yards (3.3 yards per carry). Pacheco's opportunities ticked up in his second week back from injury, putting Hunt's grip on the backfield in jeopardy. That said, Hunt should remain the back most likely to score a touchdown given the team's trust in him for goal-line chances. Hunt will have to fend off Pacheco for opportunities while taking on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15.
The Chargers have been middle-of-the-pack in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs this season, so it should not be a difficult matchup. Splitting touches with Pacheco in a game with a 40.5 O/U may lead to a lower ceiling for both players. Hunt is ranked RB31 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a RB3/Flex option for this contest in the fantasy playoffs.
Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks
With that in mind, Seattle should find itself in scoring position throughout the game. Charbonnet is a good bet to receive a carry or two inside the five-yard line, and he has been relatively effective at converting those types of carries into touchdowns in 2025. If he does not score a touchdown, do not expect Charbonnet to do much in fantasy.
Charbonnet does not receive enough volume, nor is he efficient enough, to score many fantasy points as a runner. Additionally, Charbonnet is virtually a non-factor as a receiver, with several games this season featuring zero catches. Charbonnet can be flexed this week, but he will remain extremely touchdown-dependent.
Bam Knight, RB, Arizona Cardinals
He's handled 81 carries for 271 yards and four touchdowns while adding 22 receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown on 31 targets. It has been underwhelming production for fantasy managers, as he ranks as the RB43 with 8.5 PPR points per game, but he's scored at least 13.2 PPR points in three of the last four games. The 24-year-old has been one of the least efficient runners in the league this season.
However, he has been active as a receiver and has a firm hold on goal-line duties in what's been a surprisingly fantasy-friendly Arizona offense with quarterback Jacoby Brissett at the helm. Knight will continue to rank in low-end RB3 territory for the Week 15 game against a tough Houston Texans defense this Sunday.
Kimani Vidal, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Chargers OC Greg Roman recently said he prefers a hot-hand approach, but right now, he is "seeing two guys with the hot hand," which is "a good problem to have." Although the Chiefs are more vulnerable on the ground than through the air, they still rank in the top seven in rushing yards allowed, making this a tough matchup for both backs.
RotoBaller projects Vidal as RB43 this week. Given his involvement in the passing game and the team's ongoing reliance on the run due to Justin Herbert's injury, Vidal is a low-end FLEX option in deeper leagues.
