Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 12:
DK Metcalf, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
If Rodgers can't go, Metcalf will be catching passes from Mason Rudolph, who hasn't started a game since Week 17 of last season. Regardless of who is under center, it is becoming increasingly difficult to trust Metcalf, as he has scored fewer than 10 fantasy points in three straight games.
On the bright side, Pittsburgh will face the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Bears have surrendered the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts, keeping Metcalf in play as a boom-or-bust WR2.
Rachaad White, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In Tampa Bay's Week 11 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Tucker exploded for 140 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on 21 touches while White recorded just 62 scrimmage yards on 12 touches. Irving will remain out for Tampa Bay's Week 12 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, which means both White and Tucker will likely get their share of playing time for another week.
White has been a consistent feature in the passing game, recording 20 receptions for 110 yards on 23 targets in the six games Irving has missed. Still, White should be expected to continue to lose work to Tucker in the rushing game and profiles as a low-end flex option for fantasy managers in Week 12 against Los Angeles.
Devin Singletary, RB, New York Giants
Tracy has the clear edge in touches (38 to 28), but Singletary has handled all nine running back carries inside the 10-yard line and scored two touchdowns. The 28-year-old is the more trusted player in protection and has earned the high-value touches, seeing the goal line work and maintaining a relatively close split in route share.
Both of their upside for fantasy will be limited in a committee, but Singletary looks like he could be the higher-scoring back the rest of the way.
A.J. Brown, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
While Brown vowed to stop complaining publicly, Lurie told him that he didn't need to apologize for his actions. The receiver explained that he "just wants to be a part of the offense and is frustrated," and the two hugged as the meeting ended. The 28-year-old has been underwhelming with 31 catches, 408 yards, and three touchdowns this season, but his frustration has stopped short of a trade request. In fact, he remains under contract through 2029, though it's possible that Philadelphia could bring his name up in trade talks next offseason.
For now, though, he'll remain with the Eagles, looking to bounce back from a 10-week span that saw him rank as the overall WR39 in fantasy football. His first opportunity to get back on track will come on Sunday in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions.
Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns
Jeudy is turning in a disappointing season as the Browns' No. 1 receiver and has been borderline unusable in fantasy most weeks. He will look to break out in Week 12's road matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
