Should I Start Malik Nabers for Fantasy Football?

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has shown his talent throughout the year, and there is no denying that he has the skill set to be a top pass catcher in the NFL for years to come. His struggles in 2024, however, have stemmed from poor quarterback play. Despite the constant quarterback changes the Giants have experienced, Nabers has still produced for fantasy managers, posting 80 receptions, 819 yards, and three touchdowns, ranking as WR17 for the 2024 season.

This week, the Giants face the Baltimore Ravens, who have allowed the second-most points to opposing wide receivers this season. Additionally, the Giants are expected to be in a pass-heavy game script as (+16) point underdogs. While this situation works in Nabers' favor, inconsistent quarterback play will likely limit his ceiling.

Should I Start Jaxon Smith-Njigba for Fantasy Football?

Would you believe me if I told you that Seattle's wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the sixth-best wide receiver in 2024? Smith-Njigba has burst onto the scene over the last six weeks, providing fantasy managers with 10-plus points during that span.

The second-year wide receiver out of Ohio State has been showing why he was a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. On the year, Smith-Njigba has been very productive, posting a stat line of 75 receptions, 911 yards, and 5 touchdowns through 11 games. On the season, Smith-Njigba has more catches, yards, and touchdowns than fellow wide receiver DK Metcalf.

Smith-Njigba has worked his way into a must-start every week, regardless of the matchup. Before Week 14, Brown produced a 30% target share over his previous four games, resulting in nine or more fantasy points in each contest.

The Eagles are a run-first team, led by star running back Saquon Barkley and their mobile quarterback Jalen Hurts. However, they may face difficulties running the football this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which could lead them to rely more heavily on their star wide receiver.
