Who Should I Draft for Fantasy Football? Tucker Kraft, Colston Loveland, Harold Fannin Jr. Outlooks

Tucker Kraft - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Who should I draft for fantasy football in 2025? Fantasy football outlooks for Tucker Kraft, Colston Loveland, Harold Fannin Jr. and our expert draft advice.

While many of your league mates will likely reach to grab a high-end tight end this season like Brock Bowers, Trey McBride, or George Kittle, it may be wise to wait until the final round of your draft to select your TE1.

In this piece, we will look at three tight ends that are going past pick 120.0 in NFFC drafts and determine if they are worth a look as a potential sleeper.

Be sure to check our fantasy football rankings that will help you crush your leagues in 2025. Which tight ends should fantasy managers target? Let's dive in!

Tucker Kraft, TE, Green Bay Packers

RotoBaller PPR Rank: TE 9 Overall 104.0

NFFC ADP: TE 11 Overall 124.8

Kraft enjoyed a fine sophomore season in 2024 as he posted a 50-707-7 line. It culminated with a TE10 finish in PPR scoring.

With fellow tight end Luke Musgrave injured for the majority of the year, Kraft flourished as the team’s TE1. He even continued to function as the lead tight end once Musgrave returned healthy. Following Green Bay’s playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, head coach Matt LaFleur praised Kraft’s improvement and stated his desire to incorporate him into Green Bay’s offense further.

Green Bay did draft former Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden with the 23rd overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. This was a noteworthy selection because it marked the first time since 2002 that the team used a first-round pick on a receiver.

While this might seem like bad news for Kraft's value, Golden is a good, not great, wide receiver prospect and profiles more as a WR2. He is an excellent receiver against zone coverage, but still needs refinement against man and press coverage. For 2025 at least, he will not pose as significant a threat to Kraft as some want to believe.

If you are planning to wait on a tight end in your draft, Kraft should be the top name on your list. He's got a great rapport with Jordan Love. His head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterback have all stated that he will have a larger role in the offense. Sometimes, spotting a breakout candidate is as simple as that.

Colston Loveland, TE, Chicago Bears

RotoBaller PPR Rank: TE 12 Overall 111.0

NFFC ADP: TE 16 Overall 152.9

The outlook for Loveland is a bit more rosy when comparing him to fellow rookie tight end Tyler Warren. Yes, I know he went to the Bears, who now have wide receivers DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, and Luther Burden III as massive target competition for the freshman tight end. But keep in mind that the Bears drafted Loveland with the 10th overall pick.

It is massive to have a vote of confidence like that from a coach like Ben Johnson, the new head coach of the Bears. Johnson turned tight end Sam LaPorta into a league-winner in 2023, and while he was utilized less the following season, the precedent is there.

Loveland is already the best and most polished route runner on his team. Yes, he's better than Odunze, who was touted as an elite route specialist out of college but didn't live up to the billing. I think fantasy managers don't value enough the idea of coaches getting "their guys." It's possible Johnson isn't a huge fan of players like Moore.

This is not a cherry-picked play. There have been multiple questions about Moore's effort in recent years. It might not be something Johnson will stand for, and it could cause Moore to give up on even more plays if he knows he'll be targeted less moving forward.

Additionally, Odunze was awful against zone coverage last season, and Burden is a developmental prospect who doesn't excel at separating against tight coverage. With that in mind, the path for Loveland to have a monster target share in his first season seems wide open.

Loveland could immediately be Johnson's favorite mismatch weapon. I'm aware that quarterback Caleb Williams didn't play especially well last season, despite Bears fans' insistence that his touchdown-to-interception ratio was good, and that's all that mattered.

But if there's one thing a struggling quarterback loves, it's a mismatch weapon. Loveland is far too quick for linebackers to cover, and his size allows him to bully cornerbacks and safeties if need be.

For all that Warren was praised for being elite with the ball in his hands, Loveland is actually someone I trust more after the catch. Making defenders miss with elusiveness is not only a much more sustainable but also a more reliable approach to gaining extra yards.

It's much more challenging to run NFL defenders over, shrug them off, and still pick up big yardage. At the very least, you're taking a big hit and slowing your momentum until another defender can drag you to the ground. Loveland is adept at dodging defenders and maximizing his gains on every play.

It turns out that when you have a horrible quarterback at the collegiate level, the entire community sleeps on your skill set. Loveland's is absurd. He has a ridiculous catch radius, elite body control, is a good blocker, is great after the catch, can adjust on the fly to off-target passes, and has great hands.

So he's the one you should draft, and for me, it isn't particularly close. Johnson's offensive system is known for producing league winners. The Bears bolstered the hell out of the offensive line, so Williams will have a much easier time being a productive passer.

Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Cleveland Browns

RotoBaller PPR Rank: TE 33 Overall 250.0

NFFC ADP: TE 69 Overall 289.2

David Njoku might be in front of rookie Harold Fannin Jr. in the pecking order in Cleveland, but after an injury-riddled 2024 season, it might be wise to have a backup plan if you're someone who plans to draft Njoku like a top-10 player at the position.

One potential backup plan? Fannin himself, who is coming off a season that saw him lead the FBS in both receptions and receiving yards last year. Even without an Njoku injury, it sounds like the Browns want to get Fannin on the field for a lot of plays:

With significant question marks all across this offense, the tight end position might be very, very important. The only wide receiver we can definitively trust is Jerry Jeudy. People are high on Cedric Tillman after he had a handful of good games last year, but I need to see more before I believe in him.

After that, it's like, what, the ghost of Diontae JohnsonWho are Kaden DavisJamari Thrash, or DeAndre Carter? Expect a lot of two-tight-end personnel.

Plus, the quarterback in Cleveland will be one of Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, or Shedeur Sanders. The first three of those guys will likely rely heavily on checkdowns and the short passing game, which benefits Fannin. The last, Sanders, might be more apt to hold the ball and try to work it deep, but he's also unlikely to actually win the starting job, so that's a moot point.
