BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 6% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I know, you know, we all know the Saints are as thin as it gets when it comes to operationally viable fantasy and real-world players doing it weekly at all skill positions for New Orleans. In other words: this is a very risky team and a very bouncy group of players to have shares of. That being said, we can't ask for more coming from now-starting QB Trevor Siemian, who has absolutely thrived in all of his starts this season after Jameis Winston went down injured a few weeks back.
Siemian is most definitely not the flashiest of names out there. Siemian is, also, the only quarterback improving on a weekly basis (from 9.6 to 16, 19.9, and lately 26.2 FP) and, until this past Sunday one of very few passers without an interception to his name carrying starter status for into the final third of the season. Siemian is completing a low percentage of his passing attempts (56.8%) but he's putting up some bulky yards while at it (214+ in all last three games, 230 per game on average in his four starts) and throwing TDs with gusto (8 on four starts, at least one in each of those games).
Not happy enough with hitting 3 TDs against Philly last Sunday, Siemian went on to score a bonus one on the ground on just 2 carries and 16 rushing yards. All things considered, Siemian is coming off his best game of the year with a 26.2 FP tally, a QB3 finish, and the second consecutive top-4 performance among quarterbacks. Will this stay up ROS? Probably not. Is Siemian a very solid streamer for those in shallower formats, and a lock to get a starting nod in deeper leagues? Don't even start hesitating that.
