NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 12/5/22

We have a busy Monday with six games after five games Sunday. Several matchups will be intriguing to follow throughout the night. I will do my best to navigate you through a heavy Monday slate which starts at 7:00 PM EST.

Vegas Odds for the Day

NHL DFS Goalies

Alexandar Georgiev- DK $8.2K | FD $8.4K

Opponent - Philadelphia Flyers

Should Colorado's netminder Alexandar Georgiev start, he is an excellent option for DFS players on Monday. In his last start, the Bulgarian native fended off 24 of 28 shots beating the Sabres 6-4. He's compiled an outstanding record of 11-3-1 with an excellent 2.58 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage. The Avalanche will be facing the Flyers, who are 1-6-3 in their last ten games.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Linus Ullmark (DK $8.0K | FD $8.7K), Logan Thompson (DK $7.4K | FD $8.5K)

NHL DFS Centers

Centers

Nathan MacKinnon -DK $9.2K | FD $10.3K

Opponent - Philadelphia Flyers

Nathan MacKinnon posted zero points in a 5-1 loss to Boston on Friday. Despite being held pointless, the centerman does have seven points in the last five games. MacKinnon has netted eight goals and added 25 assists in 22 contests. He is a must-DFS pick anytime Colorado is on the ice.

Connor McDavid -DK $9.4K| FD $9.7K

Opponent - Washington Capitals

The Oilers knocked off Montreal on Saturday 5-3. McDavid collected two goals, two assists, and two shots on goal. His linemate Leon Draisaitl also had four points. Edmonton is at home facing Washington, who is 3-8-2 on the road.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Bo Horvat (DK $7.4K | FD $9.0K), Mika Zibanejad (DK $7.6K| FD $9.5K)

NHL DFS Wings

David Pastrnak- DK $9.0K | FD $10.2K

Opponent -  Vegas Golden Knights

In 23 games this season, David Pastrnak has recorded 34 points. He leads Boston in goals with 16 and assists with 18 while compiling 116 shots on net. Pastrnak should continue to be productive all season long in Boston, as they have the second-best record in the NHL at 20-3-0.

Leon Draisaitl -DK $8.3K| FD $10.2K

Opponent - Washington Capitals

Edmonton has won four out of its previous five contests. During those five games, Draisitl has nine points. He logged an incredible 17 shots on goal in the process. Draisaitl and McDavid have been unstoppable playing on a line together. Look for even more chemistry between the two as the Oilers play the struggling Washington Capitals,

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Brad Marchand (DK $7.2K | FD $8.8K), Mikko Rantanen (DK $8.1K| FD $9.9K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Adam Fox- DK $6.3 | FD $7.2K

Opponent - St. Louis Blues

New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox has recorded four points in the last five contests. He's coming off a one-point game where he registered one shot on goal and two blocked shots. Fox and his teammates could benefit from playing at home against the struggling Blues, who have lost three consecutive contests.

Cale Makar- DK $7.5K | FD $7.6K

Opponent - Philadelphia Flyers

Colorado defenseman Cale Makar has struggled lately, recording just three points in the last five games. However, he has a great chance to get back on track playing against a bad Flyers club Monday. He has six goals and 17 assists in 22 games. The 24-year-old sits third on the Avalanche in blocked shots with 35 and he has 62 shots on goal.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Jacob Chychrun (DK $7.2K | FD $6.1K), Quinn Hughes (DK $5.8K | FD $7.1K)

Stacks of the Day

  • BOS2: Zacha-Krejci-Pastrnak
  • EDM1: Draisaitl-McDavid-Hyman
  • COL1:  Lehkonen-MacKinnon-Rantanen
