BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 22% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Seahawks added living legend Adrian Peterson to the fold in time for Week 13, but the veteran could only feature on a low 16 snaps and then proceeded to miss Week 14 entirely while recovering from injury. Penny, who played 29 snaps back then, went on to log 35 last Sunday for a solid 57% snap share while almost leading all skill-position Seahawks against Houston in PPR points... without even needing more than one reception for one yard to pump up his scoring tally.
Only Tyler Lockett (27.2 PPR points with a ridiculous 5-142-1 line) beat Penny and his 26.8 PPR-point tally in Week 14. Penny did it to the tune of a monster 16-carry, 137-yard, 2-touchdown rushing day. This was the type of game we've been waiting for all year long. Penny finally rushed the rock more than 10 times, for more than 35 yards, and for his first (two) score of the season. Not bad, and although the final production is probably going to be hard to replicate ROS (Penny is the RB2 overall of W14 pending MNF), odds are he stays on the good path...
...as long as he keeps getting most of the reps and touches. Peterson could be back for Seattle as soon as next weekend. That sucks, but Penny had not appeared in more than 41% of the Seahawks snaps prior to W14 so we'll see what happens with Seattle's offense. If he keeps the RB1 role and can log 15+ rushes, Penny should be good for a floor of around 8-to-10 FP with upside for a huge explosion as he just proved capable of achieving. Must-roster in deeper formats, startable as RB3/Flex at the very least, and with upside for a high-end RB2 finish if things go well for him (without needing to score those two touchdowns or anything crazy/of the like in W15).
