PrizePicks MLB DFS Prop Picks - Today's Over/Under Props for Monday, July 17, 2023

Logan Webb - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Starting Pitchers, Draft Sleepers

Today's PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Monday, July 17, 2023, by Kipp Heisterman. Use his MLB over/under props recommendations to win money on PrizePicks.

Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Monday, July 17, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.

PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.

Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.

The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.

You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Logan Webb more than 6.0 strikeouts

Webb has struck out 21 batters across his previous 15 2/3 innings pitched and has a solid matchup against the Reds tonight. Over the previous two weeks, the Reds are posting the third-highest K rate vs. right-handers with a rate of 27.6%. They have also started to struggle offensively and are now posting just a 76 wRC+ mark vs. righties over that same two-week span.

Logan Gilbert less than 7.0 strikeouts

I am a big fan of this Logan as well, however, Gilbert has a tough matchup tonight against the Twins. Over the previous two weeks, Minnesota is posting a wRC+ mark of 137 vs. right-handers, which ranks second-best in the league. They are also striking out at a clip of 25.2%, however, they are pairing that with a walk rate north of 11%. Their offense has been firing, which could make this a tough outing for Gilbert when it comes to attaining eight strikeouts. He has struck out at least eight batters in just two starts this season and none of them since May 20th.

Jesus Luzardo more than 6.0 strikeouts

Luzardo has been fantastic in terms of strikeouts this season and has now struck out seven or more batters in nine of his previous 11 starts. Tonight, he will be up against the Cardinals, who are posting the second-highest K rate vs. Southpaws over the previous two weeks with a rate of 33%. They are also posting a 124 wRC+ mark over that same two-week span, so there is danger here for Luzardo, but the Cardinals' K rate is just too high to ignore here.

Mookie Betts more than 1.5 total bases

Betts has eclipsed this total in three of his previous five games while also posting a 1.600 OPS this past weekend after returning from the All-Star break. He has hit right-handers well this season as noted by his .925 OPS and 17 home runs on the season. He will be up against Orioles' right-hander, Grayson Rodriguez, who has allowed right-handed hitters to post a .292 BAA while allowing five bombs and five doubles across 123 batters faced.
