Zach McKinstry To Be Out Longer Than 10 Days
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Zach McKinstry (oblique), who landed on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a right oblique strain, will miss more than 10 days, according to manager Dave Roberts. However, it's unclear how much time the 25-year-old rookie will miss. McKinstry is worth holding onto in deeper leagues, as he was batting .296 with three home runs, seven runs scored and 14 RBI in a utility role for the Dodgers before his injury. Luke Raley has seen several starts in right field with McKinstry injured and could be a short-term option in NL-only leagues. He's hitting .250/.308/.417 with a home run and two RBI in 24 at-bats so far in 2021. Raley is starting in right and hitting seventh on Sunday against San Diego Padres right-hander Joe Musgrove.
