Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey (ankle) underwent season-ending surgery on Tuesday. The team announced on Sunday that Edey will have an ankle procedure but didn't specify a recovery timeline. Now we know that Edey's season is over. The good news is that the 23-year-old big man is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026-27 regular season. Unfortunately, Edey appeared in only 11 games this term, averaging 13.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks in 25.8 minutes. With Santi Aldama (knee) also hurt, Memphis has to rely on Olivier-Maxence Prosper, GG Jackson II, and Taylor Hendricks in the frontcourt.--Taavi Pailk
