Yordan Alvarez Still Out Wednesday
Yordan Alvarez (hand) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers. It will be the third straight game that Alvarez has missed due to left hand soreness, but fantasy managers should continue to consider him day-to-day. Trey Mancini is serving as the designated hitter on Wednesday and is batting fifth against Rangers left-hander Martin Perez. Mancini is hitting .265 (35-for-132) with three of his 16 home runs and 12 RBI against left-handed pitchers this year in 65 games. The 30-year-old has struggled since being traded to Houston, going 15-for-73 (.205) with six home runs, 16 RBI and nine runs scored in 22 games played.
