Yordan Alvarez Placed On Paternity List
Yordan Alvarez on the paternity list on Friday and recalled infielder Taylor Jones from Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move. Alvarez could miss up to three games while on the paternity list, so fantasy managers need to be prepared for him to miss the entire weekend. It's a shame, since he has been one of the best hitters in baseball with a slash line of .300/.370/.531, 14 home runs, 50 runs scored and 51 RBI in 292 plate appearances. This will be Jones' fourth major league stint in 2021. The 27-year-old has just eight hits in 46 at-bats (.174) with no homers and four RBI. Jones was hitting .347/.450/.571 with two long balls and 14 RBI in 13 games for Sugar Land, but he might be sent right back down to the minors when Alvarez is back.
