Yordan Alvarez Is Up For The Long Haul
6 years agoHouston Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow and manager A.J. Hinch have said that outfield prospect Yordan Alvarez is up for the long haul after being called up recently. Neither Tony Kemp nor Tyler White will see consistent playing time in either left field or at designated hitter with Alvarez around. White is only around because he's the only backup first baseman, so he could be on his way out once infielder Aledmys Diaz returns from injury. Alvarez, who dominated the minor leagues, has two hits (both homers in nine at-bats (.222) with four RBI in the early going in Houston. He'll continue to see regular playing time and is a must-own in all fantasy leagues for his incredible upside.
