Yandy Diaz Returns, Mike Zunino Still Out
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays corner infielder Yandy Diaz (neck) is back in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Cleveland Indians, but catcher Mike Zunino (hip) remains out. Diaz is playing first base and batting sixth against Indians right-hander Cal Quantrill after he missed a few games this week with neck spasms. Diaz has been pretty good this month, going 10-for-31 (.323) with two home runs and six RBI in 10 games. The 29-year-old is a great on-base asset, but he hasn't been as good against right-handers and doesn't have a ton of DFS upside. Zunino came off the bench as a pinch-hitter on Wednesday, so he could return to the lineup as soon as Friday after dealing with left hip flexor tightness. Francisco Mejia is behind the plate and batting eighth on Thursday. The switch-hitting catcher isn't the worst sleeper at catcher in DFS, but his upside will be limited in the eighth spot.
