X-Rays Come Back Negative On Kris Bryant
1 year agoColorado Rockies manager Bud Black said that outfielder Kris Bryant (forearm), who left Wednesday's game against the visiting Houston Astros early after being hit by a pitch in his forearm, is going to be OK. X-rays came back negative on Bryant, and with a day off coming on Thursday, there's a chance he won't have to miss any games at all. The Rockies begin a series on Friday against the Miami Marlins on the road. Before leaving on Wednesday, Bryant went 0-for-2 to drop his season average to .254. The 31-year-old former Rookie of the Year and MVP has become injury-prone and isn't the same hitter he was in his prime, but he can still contribute in deep-mixed leagues at hitter-friendly Coors Field. He entered Wednesday's contest hitting .256 (61-for-238) with eight homers, 23 RBI and 27 runs scored in 62 games.
