X-Rays Come Back Negative On Carlos Correa's Hand
1 year agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (hand) said that X-rays taken on his hand came back negative after he was hit by a pitch on his hand in the 2-0 win over the visiting Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday in Game 2 of the wild-card series. "No fracture. We're good to go," Correa said. The Twins swept the three-game series in Minnesota and will now head to the American League Division Series this weekend to face the defending world-series champs in the Houston Astros. The 29-year-old has been battling plantar fasciitis in his foot for much of the year, but he came up big on Wednesday by going 2-for-3 with an RBI after also getting a hit in Game 1 on Tuesday. Correa is hoping to put his disappointing 2023 regular season behind him in this year's playoffs.
