Colorado Avalanche winger Valeri Nichushkin was the hero of the night against Calgary on Tuesday as he recorded two power-play goals in a 2-1 victory. He tied the game 13:36 into the second period when a Cale Makar shot deflected off him into the net and then produced the game-winner 10:52 into the third by redirecting a pass from Mikko Rantanen. Devon Toews grabbed assists on both goals. Nichushkin has found his way to the top line and it's helped him to grab eight points across his last seven appearances. He's been particularly hot with the man advantage, with six of the points coming on the power play. Nichushkin had just three power-play points for the season prior to the streak, and he's now on 39 points overall in 49 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
