Tyquan Thornton Dislocates His Ankle, Ruled Out Indefinitely
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (ankle) suffered a dislocated ankle during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Thornton hauled in a deep pass, and the initial celebration quickly turned to extreme concern once the severity of his injury became evident. He was quickly taken to the hospital, where doctors fixed his dislocated ankle and gave him permission to fly back to Kansas City with the team. It was encouraging to see the quick turnaround to get him back in Kansas City, but it won't mean much this year. After all, the ankle injury is most likely going to be season-ending. Between the injuries to Thornton and Rashee Rice (hamstring), Kansas City's receiver room is suddenly shorthanded and may look to bolster the position group via free agency or trade.

Malik Nabers is Impressive in Week 4 Victory
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers put together his best game of the season during Sunday's contest against the Arizona Cardinals. Nabers appears to be finally building some chemistry with quarterback Jameis Winston. The third-year wideout hauled in six of his seven targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in the win. The touchdown came on a 25-yard pass in the second quarter. The expectation was that Nabers would see his value decrease with Jaxson Dart (knee) done for the year. The 23-year-old might be okay with Winston tossing him deep balls. Nabers will have big-play upside against a shaky Washington Commanders defense in Week 5.

David Montgomery Extremely Inefficient for the Third Week in a Row
Houston Texans running back David Montgomery rushed for just 24 yards on 10 carries during Sunday's Week 4 loss against the Dallas Cowboys. He was also credited with 19 receiving yards (but not a reception) on a hook-and-ladder play. The veteran running back's Week 1 performance, in which he scored three touchdowns, seems to be an anomaly. He hasn't scored a touchdown since then, nor has he posted double-digit fantasy points. The worst part of Montgomery's fantasy profile is his extreme inefficiency, as he has averaged just 2.8 yards per carry this season. Week 4 was particularly bad for Montgomery, who averaged just 2.4 yards per carry against Dallas and has averaged 3.0 or fewer yards per carry in every game this year. As long as the Texans' offense continues to underperform and Woody Marks vultures carries, Montgomery belongs outside the top-36 running back tier for fantasy football.

Christian Watson Takes Backseat to Several Teammates in Win
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson had a relatively quiet performance during Sunday's Week 4 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Watson finished the victory with a very modest three catches for 47 yards. The 27-year-old posted new season-low marks in targets, catches, and yards, and this was also his first game of 2026 without a touchdown. He actually led the Packers in receiving yards, but he had fewer catches than tight end Tucker Kraft and running back MarShawn Lloyd. He was also out-produced by fellow wide receiver Matthew Golden, who caught three of seven targets for 21 yards and a touchdown. We don't expect Watson to post too many more duds like this one, but that doesn't eliminate the fact that this was an incredibly disappointing result for fantasy managers. Fortunately, he has the capability to bounce back as a high-end WR2 or low-end WR1 against the Chicago Bears in next week's divisional battle.

Tank Bigsby Leaves Early During Week 4 Loss
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby (undisclosed) left Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams with only a few minutes left in the fourth quarter, per Ashlyn Sullivan. It's unclear what is going on with Bigsby, but he walked to the locker room under his own power with three minutes left in the game. This is never good to hear, especially with running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) leaving early during this game. Bigsby carried the ball 14 times for 55 yards in the loss to the Rams. Will Shipley could be looking at an expanded role if Barkley or Bigsby are unable to play in Week 5.

Emanuel Wilson Scores a Pair of Touchdowns in Workhorse Role
Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson totaled 21 carries, 81 rushing yards, three catches, 39 receiving yards, and two touchdowns during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Wilson stepped up as the Seahawks' every-down back after Jadarian Price (chest) was placed on injured reserve. He has now logged 20+ carries in two of his last three games, and he has proven to be very capable of handling a large workload. It will be interesting to see how this backfield shakes out going forward. On one hand, we have no doubt that Wilson could lead the way and rank as a fringe RB2 in fantasy football. On the other hand, the Seahawks have been linked to free agent running back Joe Mixon as a potential Price replacement, and projected No. 1 running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) is eligible to return from injured reserve as early as this upcoming week. Wilson has some short-term appeal in redraft leagues, but his floor will drop pretty quickly once Charbonnet returns to action.

Kenyon Sadiq is Blanked in Week 4
New York Jets tight end Kenyon Sadiq was unable to carry his momentum from Week 3 into this weekend. The rookie tight end was held without a catch on four targets during the loss to the Chicago Bears. He was dealing with a back issue coming into this game, so that might've been part of the reason. The Jets only possessed the ball for 17 minutes in this game, so they didn't have a ton of time to do anything on offense. Sadiq tied wide receiver Garrett Wilson for the team lead in targets with four. This game was a dud, but overall, Sadiq has been a decent asset early on. He should be considered a low-end TE1 for the Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

D'Andre Swift Fumbles and Loses Lead-Back Role in Week 4
Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift rushed for 58 yards on 15 carries during Sunday's Week 4 win over the New York Jets. He also caught two passes for 16 receiving yards. Swift averaged fewer than four yards per carry, and he also fumbled the ball away for the second time in the last three weeks. Not only did the veteran have a suboptimal day, but his teammate, Kyle Monangai, was absolutely explosive. Monangai had one of the best games of his young career, carrying the ball 30 times for 146 rushing yards and two touchdowns. For Swift's fantasy managers, seeing his inefficiency, his fumble, and his teammate's career performance was a nightmare combination. This Chicago offense loves to run the football, so it's not as if Swift has lost his fantasy relevance forever. However, he entered this week as a top-eight running back in total scoring, and he'll leave this week as a low-end RB2 or high-end RB3 going forward. The good news for Swift is that he gets a softer matchup next week against the Packers.

Joe Burrow Looks Incredible in Loss
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was impressive through the air on Sunday. Burrow completed 39-of-54 passing attempts for 428 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Burrow also rushed the ball three times for six yards and an additional score. It's almost more impressive that Burrow posted these numbers with Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) not playing in the second half. Burrow did everything he could, with six different players having at least three receptions during this game. Sadly, both Chase and Tee Higgins (adductor) left the game, and Burrow wasn't able to make a comeback. Fantasy managers should consider Burrow an elite fantasy option for the Week 5 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

Ollie Gordon II Paces Dolphins' Backfield in Snaps and Rushing Yardage
Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II led his team in rushing with nine carries for 100 yards, averaging an impressive 11.1 yards per carry, and a touchdown in a 15-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Gordon's day included a 53-yard rush in the early third quarter. He also had two receptions for zero yards. Gordon played 22 out of 39 offensive snaps (56.4%), compared to fellow tailback Jaylen Wright's 12 snaps (30.77%). Wright, who returned to the lineup after missing Week 3 with a stinger and foot injury, rushed five times for just seven yards (1.4 yards per carry) and did not see a target in the passing game. With starting running back De'Von Achane out for the season and on injured reserve due to a torn ACL injury, Gordon and Wright were thrust into larger roles. For Week 4, Gordon earned more snaps and was much more productive than Wright. Gordon will look to continue to ascend in a Week 5 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Chiefs Players Are "All For" Reunion with Tyreek Hill
Kansas City Chiefs players such as quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce are "all for" a reunion with free agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill, per Michael Silver of The Athletic. Hill is currently working his way back from a major knee injury, and Silver reports that Hill is targeting a November return. The Chiefs lost downfield wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (leg) to a gruesome lower-leg injury during their Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Once healthy, Hill could help replace the big-play ability of Thornton. The 32-year-old should not be expected to provide the elite production he once did during his first stint with the Chiefs from 2016-2021. Still, Hill remained an impact player in his most recent fully healthy season, recording 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns on 123 targets across 17 games with the Miami Dolphins in 2024. Fantasy managers with a bench spot to burn may want to consider adding Hill off the waiver wire.

CeeDee Lamb Erupts for 189 Yards Versus Texans
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb erupted in a 34-30 Week 4 win over the Houston Texans, recording 17 receptions (on 21 targets) for 189 yards (11.1 yards per reception) and a touchdown. Lamb's 12-yard, go-ahead touchdown with 40 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner for the Cowboys. The targets, receptions and yardage were all season-highs in 2026 for Lamb. No other Dallas receiver saw more than five targets, as Lamb reminded everybody why he is still considered a high-end WR1 in fantasy football. He will look to continue the momentum in a Week 5 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Keon Coleman Steps Up with Big Game in Week 4
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman had one of the better games of his career in his team's Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots, recording six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. Coleman saw his usage spike after Bills WR1 DJ Moore (shoulder) was forced to leave the game with a shoulder injury. It's the second time in four games this season that Moore has had to leave a game early due to his shoulder. In those games, Coleman has recorded 12 catches for 179 yards and a score on 13 targets. In Buffalo's other two contests, Coleman has logged just two receptions for 38 yards on three targets. If Moore is forced to miss time going forward, Coleman profiles as a must-add waiver wire target for fantasy managers.

Javonte Williams Tallies Three Touchdowns in Week 4 Win
Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams had a big day in his team's 34-30 Week 4 win over the Houston Texans. While Williams rushed for an inefficient 62 yards on 19 carries, he logged three rushing touchdowns. The 26-year-old also chipped in as a receiver, hauling in all five of his targets for 21 yards. Through four weeks this season, Williams has now recorded 231 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 62 carries, along with 15 catches for 77 yards and a score on 17 targets. Williams hasn't been quite as productive on a per-touch basis as he was in 2025, as he's averaged just 3.7 yards per carry. However, he remains the clear workhorse back in Dallas, and the Cowboys clearly trust him in goal-to-go situations. As long as he remains healthy, Williams profiles as a must-start running back for fantasy managers.

Parker Washington Held to One Catch Against Bengals
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington was held to just one catch on three targets for seven scoreless yards in a 22-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4. These were obviously all season-lows for Washington in 2026 thus far. It was a highly disappointing effort from Washington for fantasy managers with the breakout wide receiver in their lineups, but the Jaguars managed to get a win despite his lack of production. Tight end Benton Strange led Jacksonville in receptions (seven) and receiving yards (95) on Sunday, while wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. caught quarterback Trevor Lawrence's lone touchdown pass on the day. Through four games, Washington leads the Jaguars in receptions with 17 on the season, and he has recorded two receiving touchdowns. He will continue to be heavily involved in the passing game moving forward. Expect Washington to bounce back in a Week 5 matchup versus the Philadelphia Eagles in London.

Kenneth Walker Dominates in Week 4 Win
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker had a monster game in his team's 30-27 Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, recording 22 carries for 177 yards and two touchdowns. The 25-year-old's big day against Las Vegas is a continuation of what's been an electric start to his first season in Kansas City. Across four games, Walker has recorded 537 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 87 carries. He's also been effective as a receiver out of the backfield, logging 12 catches for 84 yards and two scores on 19 targets. Walker battled injuries and a split backfield during his time as a member of the Seattle Seahawks over the previous four seasons. However, he appears to be the Chiefs' workhorse back. If Walker can stay healthy, he could be poised for a league-winning fantasy campaign in 2026.

Chargers Committed to Three-Man Running Back Rotation
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that using a three-man backfield rotation is what is "best for our team," per Alex Insdorf of the Guilty As Charged Podcast. Chargers running backs Omarion Hampton (nine carries), Keaton Mitchell (10 carries), and Kimani Vidal (five carries, two receptions) split the work fairly evenly in Los Angeles' Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. It comes as somewhat of a surprise that Hampton has not emerged as the lead back for the Chargers, as he was selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and possesses a three-down skill set. However, it appears the team prefers a committee approach, making Hampton tough for fantasy managers to trust for weekly production.

Rashawn Slater Spotted With Walking Boot and Crutches
Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Rashawn Slater (ankle) was spotted with a walking boot and crutches following a 30-23 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN's Kris Rhim. Slater suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter and went down on the field before being looked at by trainers for a while. Slater was then seen limping off the field. He was considered questionable to return. After the game, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said he did not have an update on Slater. With Slater out, Logan Taylor manned the left tackle spot. Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel's job is not in jeopardy, per Alex Insdorf of the Guilty as Charged podcast. McDaniel has come under fire as the Chargers offense has struggled during the team's 0-4 start to the 2026 season. Through four games, Los Angeles is averaging just 16.8 points per contest. Star quarterback Justin Herbert has gotten off to a slow start as well, with six interceptions compared to just four touchdown passes. McDaniel is in his first year with the Chargers after spending the previous four seasons as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Bo Nix Says Ankle Injury Isn't Impacting His Performance
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was asked if his ankle injury is inhibiting him at all following their Week 4 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Nix gave a quick and blunt answer, "No", per Zac Stevens. Nix hasn't been himself this season, with 605 passing yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions through four games this season. He underwent surgery last January to repair a fractured right ankle that he suffered during a playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills. It's a fair question to ask if the ankle is bothering him, but Nix is always going to say he's fine. Fantasy managers can hope for better days ahead versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5.
