Tyler Lockett 2018 Outlook: Free As A Bird
6 years agoWith the departures of Paul Richardson to Washington and Jimmy Graham to Green Bay, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett should be in for a major upgrade in value for the 2018 season. Coming off a gruesome injury and sharing time with Paul Richardson, Lockett had 45 receptions for 555 yards and two touchdowns in 2017, but with no real threat for his wide receiver two job and Seattle’s lack of a real pass-catching tight end on the roster, these numbers are paltry in comparison to what could be seen this season. With Doug Baldwin the cemented number one target, Lockett will see plenty of single coverage, making 80 receptions and 1,000 yards not only attainable, but likely. This is a Seahawk offense that, although wanting to run with first-round rookie running back Rashaad Penny, does not have the offensive line to make this a successful venture. While there are guys with greater touchdown upside, if you are in a PPR league of any sort, Lockett should be on your radar as a wide receiver three option with WR2 upside and a very high floor come draft time.
