Trey Murphy III Hurts Right Foot Friday
2 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III was forced off early Friday night versus Boston, leaving in the second quarter with right foot soreness. He went scoreless in 12 minutes before exiting. This was a third consecutive start for Murphy III, with him having replaced Zion Williamson (foot) in the starting unit. He had looked really good in the first two games, but Friday's injury is obviously a major blow to his fantasy stock. The Pelicans are off until Monday, which gives Murphy III the whole weekend to recover, but Zion might be back as well by the time the team hosts the Warriors. Larry Nance Jr. is the guy to target if either one can't go Monday night. He's a versatile player who can rack up stats in a hurry, which Nance Jr. proved against the Celtics, bagging 16 points with eight rebounds, one assist, three steals and two blocks in 27 minutes.
