Trey Mancini Placed On 60-Day DL
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder/designated hitter Trey Mancini will be put on the 60-day disabled list for the shortened 2020 season after having surgery in March to remove a tumor from his colon. With the risk of COVID-19 on top of it, Mancini will understandably sit out this season. It's a shame, since he was one of the team's best hitters in 2019, slashing .291/.364/.535 with a career-high 35 home runs, 97 RBI and 106 runs scored in 154 games. You can remove him from your draft boards if you haven't already. Outfielders Anthony Santander, Dwight Smith Jr. and D.J. Stewart could benefit from more playing time in the outfield as a result of Mancini being out this season.
