Trey Burton To Miss The First Couple Weeks
4 years agoIndianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich said that tight end Trey Burton (calf) is likely to miss the first couple of weeks of the regular season. Burton injured his calf in practice on Saturday. The 28-year-old wasn't much of a fantasy asset to begin with because Jack Doyle is ahead of him on the TE depth chart in Indy, so this injury essentially ruins what little fantasy appeal he had left going into the season. Burton had a career-high 569 receiving yards and six touchdowns in his first season with the Bears in 2018, but he was limited to eight games in 2019 because of injury. His injury to begin the 2020 season should mean more playing time for Mo Alie-Cox behind Doyle.
