Philadelphia Phillies second base prospect Trent Farquhar is being promoted to High-A Jersey Shore, according to MiLB Central. Farquhar spent the past summer splitting time in the Rookie League and at Single-A. Last summer, the 23-year-old struggled at Single-A and posted a mere .167/.348/.278 slash line with a 5:4 BB:K. However, this summer, the infielder looked much better with a .314/.493/.429 line, one home run, 12 RBI, and an excellent 35:26 BB:K. He also stole nine bases compared to the five he stole last season. Farquhar is currently outside of the Phillies' top-30 prospects on MLB.com but is a name to monitor if he continues to showcase an elite eye at the plate.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
