Travis Kelce's ACL Is Intact
1 year agoAfter tests on Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs believe that tight end Travis Kelce's (knee) ACL is intact, according to a source. Kelce is dealing with inflammation in his knee, though, and the team will test it again on Wednesday to determine his availability for the regular season opener on Thursday night against the Detroit Lions. By all indications, Kelce has avoided a long-term injury, but he could still be held out of Week 1 or be limited. Fantasy managers that selected Kelce in the first round of their drafts must have a backup plan ready in case he's ruled out this week. Expect him to be listed as questionable on the final injury report on Wednesday. If Kelce is out or limited on Thursday, Noah Gray will likely be the team's top pass-catching tight end.
