Tony Gonsolin Has An Ankle Sprain
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin (ankle) is being listed as day-to-day with a left ankle sprain that he suffered during drills in spring training on Monday, and he won't make his scheduled Cactus League start on Wednesday. Gonsolin has a noticeable limp, although this injury shouldn't cause him to miss Opening Day later this month. The 28-year-old right-hander had by far the best season of his career for the Blue in 2022, going 16-1 with a career-best 2.14 ERA (3.28 FIP), 0.88 WHIP and 23.9 percent strikeout rate in 130 1/3 innings over 24 starts. However, fantasy managers should expect some regression in 2023, although pitching for one of the best teams in baseball certainly helps.
