Tommy Pham Not In Lineup Against Boston
1 year agoNew York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) is not in the starting lineup on Friday as the team takes on the Boston Red Sox. Pham tweaked his right groin in the game on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox and will unsurprisingly sit out this contest. The 35-year-old also tweaked the same side of his groin in the final game of the first half of the season, but he's avoided the injured list for now. The Mets don't expect to put Pham on the injured list, but he could miss more games this weekend. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Mark Canha, who could be a trade candidate this summer, is starting in left field on Friday and is hitting eighth in the batting order against Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford.
