Tommy Edman Sitting Out With Wrist Injury
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman (wrist) will start on the bench on Thursday with the team taking on the Miami Marlins. Edman was scratched from Wednesday's starting lineup after feeling intense pain in his right wrist while taking batting practice before the game. With the All-Star break coming up next week, there's a good chance we won't see Edman on the field again in the first half of the 2023 season. Nolan Gorman is starting at second base and batting fifth, while Dylan Carlson will start in center field and bat ninth on Thursday against Marlins right-hander Eury Perez. Edman has been useful for his speed this year with 14 stolen bases, and he's added a .237 average (65-for-274) with seven home runs, 29 RBI and 44 runs scored for fantasy managers.
