Tommy Edman Receives Injection In Wrist
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman (wrist) received an injection in his right wrist over the All-Star break this week and is still several days away from being able to swing a bat. It ensures that his injured-list stay won't be at minimum length. Edman has been on the shelf since July 6, and it will be a little longer now before he appears for the Cardinals in the second half of the season. With the 28-year-old out recently, Nolan Gorman has been playing mostly at second base, with Dylan Carlson the main option in center field. Edman should return to a regular role in the infield and outfield when he's healthy. Speed is his greatest asset for fantasy managers. He currently has 14 after going over 30-plus thefts each of the previous two seasons.
