Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Steve Pearce (rib cage) was a late scratch from Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Twins and remains out of the lineup for Wednesday’s affair. Pearce has been experiencing tightness in his rib cage, which obviously is not ideal if you’re trying to swing a baseball bat. Pearce is considered day-to-day, though there’s no clear everyday spot for him with outfielders Curtis Granderson, Kevin Pillar and Teoscar Hernandez all playing very well at the moment. Pearce isn’t worth fantasy consideration in most leagues and likely won’t be for the duration of the season.--John Smith
