Spencer Jones Tallies Four Hits on Friday
Spencer Jones went 4-for-5 with a double, home run, two RBI, and a stolen base during their contest against Double-A New Hampshire on Friday evening. Jones has enjoyed an impressive power surge over the past two weeks. During his last nine competitions, Jones has launched four long balls and added two doubles. Through 44 games with Double-A Somerset, the No. 2-ranked prospect has held a .261/.386/.588 slash line with eight doubles, 14 round-trippers, and 10 stolen bases. However, Jones has struck out 63 times and has drawn just 30 walks. Last summer, Jones held a lower .259/.336/.452 line across 122 games with Double-A. Given his steady progress, especially from a power perspective, Jones should be in the mix to reach Triple-A in the second half.
