2 years agoThe Hanshin Tigers have decided to make right-hander Shintaro Fujinami available to MLB teams through the posting system this offseason, according to a source. The 28-year-old told his team of his desire to move to the MLB last offseason. He was considered the pitching rival of Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani during high school and the early portion of their professional careers. Fujinami had double-digit wins in each of his first three years in Nippon Professional Baseball before hitting a slump. In 10 years in Japan's professional League, he is 57-54 with a 3.41 ERA.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
