New York Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov made it back-to-back shutouts for himself with a 32-save effort in Thursday's 3-0 road win over the Capitals. Varlamov needed to wait until Oct. 21 to make his season debut, and it didn't go well, as he suffered a 3-1 defeat against Buffalo, but the veteran netminder has since been perfect with his work. He's the first goaltender in franchise history to log back-to-back shutouts at age 35 or older. Varlamov has a tough time getting a look by the Islanders due to the presence of Ilya Sorokin, but he's been fantastic for the team and could get some extra action in the upcoming games after becoming only the third goalie this season with multiple shutouts.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
