Seahawks Plan To Keep Russell Wilson
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said at his pre-draft press conference that the team plans on quarterback Russell Wilson being with them "for a good while." Wilson voiced his displeasure with the team's offense and the front office this offseason, leading to speculation that he would be traded before the 2021 season. The Chicago Bears made an aggressive pursuit of Wilson before adding veteran Andy Dalton in free agency, and since then, the Wilson rumors have gone silent. The 32-year-old signal-caller also has a full no-trade clause, making a potential deal even more difficult for Seattle. For now, it's looking like Wilson will remain with the Seahawks. Even though Wilson faded in the second half along with the rest of the team's offense, he'll remain a highly coveted high-end QB1 in 2021 in fantasy.
