Ronald Acuna Jr. 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Dynamic Star Offers Tremendous Upside
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is now nearly two years removed from the left ACL tear suffered in May 2024, which puts him back on the map as a first-round pick. He didn't return to action until late May 2025, hitting .323 with 12 homers and four steals in 45 first-half games before cooling off after the All-Star break. We'd expect his endurance and conditioning to be in a far better spot with a healthy offseason behind him. No one will expect a return to the 73-steal form shown in 2023, but most projection systems have him getting about 25 swipes over 150 games. Put that with about 30 HRs and over 100 runs scored as Atlanta's leadoff man, and you've got an elite fantasy production. Even if the ACL is okay, there's no denying that Acuna has struggled to stay healthy overall. He's only played in 77% or more of the team's games in two of his eight seasons, but those two years single-handedly won fantasy titles. With no lingering health issues at this time, Acuna is a top-10 pick by ADP and RotoBaller rank.
