Robbie Ray May Not Start Opening Day
7 years agoContrary to previous reports, Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Robbie Ray may not pitch on Opening Day. Ray is currently scheduled to pitch Sunday against the Rockies, which would prevent him from pitching Opening Day on regular rest. Although the plans are not set in stone, there has been no mention of moving Ray's start to accommodate him for Opening Day. Ray has not been sharp this spring, allowing 10 runs in 13 innings thus far. However, owners shouldn't worry and should continue drafting him as a second-tier starting pitcher this season.
