4 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens officially exercised quarterback Lamar Jackson's fifth-year option for the 2022 season on Friday. The Ravens and the 2019 NFL MVP will now work to reach a long-term contract extension. Jackson will make a fully guaranteed $23.016 million in 2022. This comes as no surprise, as head coach John Harbaugh guaranteed earlier this week that Jackson's option would be picked up. The 24-year-old is 30-7 in the regular season as a starter and has become one of the most dynamic signal-callers in the league in his short time in the NFL. He's in line to receive the richest contract extension in franchise history when the time comes. While his passing game needs improvement, Jackson remains a high-end QB1 in fantasy because of his ability to beat teams with his legs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
