Randal Grichuk Getting A Breather Against Rays
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk is resting against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. Grichuk will get a breather after starting the last nine games for Toronto. He's hitting a nice .280 (7-for-25) with a home run and six RBI in the last week and has been solid for his fantasy managers all year, slashing .262/.291/.456 with 14 home runs, 35 runs scored and 54 RBI in 323 plate appearances. George Springer will return to center field and hit cleanup, while Teoscar Hernandez slots into right field and will bat fifth against Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan. Springer's counting stats aren't what fantasy managers envisioned when they drafted him because of multiple injuries, but he's been hot the last week (7-for-21 with a homer) and needs to remain in daily lineups as we inch closer to the second half.
