Dante Exum Returning to Dallas
Dante Exum has signed a one-year deal to remain with the Dallas Mavericks. Exum has dealt with several injuries throughout his NBA career and played in only 20 regular-season contests in 2024-25, averaging 8.7 points, 2.8 assists, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.6 steals in 18.6 minutes per game. If the 29-year-old can stay healthy, he could see a significant increase in playing time with Kyrie Irving (knee) expected to be out through January.Source: Shams Charania

Ryan McLeod Inks Four-Year Extension with Sabres
Source: NHL.com
Buffalo Sabres center Ryan McLeod has signed a four-year, $20 million extension with the franchise. The 25-year-old became a restricted free agent on Tuesday, but Buffalo locked him up with another deal. McLeod has improved his scoring numbers in each of his four NHL seasons and produced 53 points (20 goals, 33 assists) across 79 appearances in 2024-25. He will look to take another step forward next season, although it's unlikely that McLeod can sustain the 20.6 shooting percentage he had last term.Predators Bring in Nick Perbix on Two-Year Deal
Source: NHL.com
Defenseman Nick Perbix will move to the Western Conference for the upcoming season after leaving the Tampa Bay Lightning to join the Nashville Predators as a free agent. The Predators signed him to a two-year, $5.5 million deal. Although his role was limited on the Lightning team, Perbix has accumulated 63 points (13 goals, 50 assists) in 220 career games. He also has 246 blocks and 203 hits. Perbix's production could improve in Nashville with more playing time.Jaren Jackson Jr. Has Surgery to Repair a Turf Toe Injury
Jaren Jackson Jr. underwent successful surgery to repair a turf toe injury in his right foot and will be re-evaluated in 12 weeks. Jackson will likely be good to go for the start of the regular season. The 25-year-old just signed a massive five-year, $240 million extension with Memphis. Despite the offseason setback, he is deserving of a new contract extension based on the numbers he has been producing over the last few years. During the 2024-25 campaign, the big man averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists across 29.8 minutes per game in 74 appearances. When healthy, Jackson holds plenty of fantasy value and should continue to do so during the 2025-26 season.Source: Grizzlies PR
On Wednesday, the Memphis Grizzlies announced forward Cody Ceci Moves to Los Angeles
Source: Sportsnet
Defenseman Cody Ceci has signed a four-year, $18 million pact with the Los Angeles Kings. The well-traveled veteran will suit up for his seventh NHL team in 2025-26. He split the past campaign between the San Jose Sharks and Dallas Stars, making 85 total appearances during the regular season. Ceci notched 24 points (four goals, 20 assists) and recorded 155 blocks. The Kings also snapped up Brian Dumoulin on a three-year, $12 million deal in free agency, giving the team's backline a new look next season.Trent Grisham, Austin Wells Still Out for Yankees
Trent Grisham (hamstring) and catcher Austin Wells (finger) remain out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the division-rival Toronto Blue Jays. Cody Bellinger is patrolling center field and is batting third, while Ben Rice will do the catching and hit leadoff versus Blue Jays right-hander Jose Berrios. Grisham is missing a second straight game with a left-hamstring injury, but he's hopeful to avoid a trip to the injured list before the All-Star break. He's just two homers away from tying his career-high but has slowed down considerably since earlier this season at the plate. Wells is dealing with arterial damage to his left index finger and will miss his fourth straight game. It's entirely possible that both Grisham and Wells will land on the IL if they don't improve soon and get back into the lineup. Both Rice and Bellinger are fine DFS plays on Wednesday against Berrios.Source: MLB.com
New York Yankees outfielder Bo Bichette "Feeling Better" but Still Out
Bo Bichette (knee) is "feeling better today than he did yesterday," but he remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the division-rival New York Yankees. "He's … going through a little bit more of a regular day and the hope would be that he'd be available today (off the bench) if we need him," Schneider said. Ernie Clement will start at the 6 and will hit sixth versus Yankees right-hander Will Warren. Bichette tweaked his right knee stepping on a ball during pre-game batting practice on Monday and will miss his third straight start, but it sounds like the 27-year-old could play in Thursday's series finale against the Bombers. The former second-rounder had an injury-plagued and disappointing 2024 campaign but has bounced back nicely in 2025 and is once again a must-start in fantasy when he's active.Source: Sportsnet.ca - Shi Davidi
Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that shortstop James van Riemsdyk Joins Red Wings on One-Year Contract
Source: NHL.com
Winger James van Riemsdyk has signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings. The veteran forward moves to Motor City after spending one season with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Considering his role on the team, van Riemsdyk had a decent campaign in Columbus, notching 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in 71 games. He's way past his heyday but can still contribute on teams as a depth scorer. Van Riemsdyk is close to fellow veteran Patrick Kane, and the two are likely to enjoy some time together on the same line in Detroit.Bryce Harper, J.T. Realmuto Sitting for Game 2 of Doubleheader

Viktor Arvidsson Traded to Boston
Source: NHL.com
The Boston Bruins have acquired winger Viktor Arvidsson from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick. Edmonton decided to part ways with Arvidsson just 12 months after signing him to a two-year, $8 million contract. He had a disappointing season in 2024-25, recording 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists) in 67 appearances. Arvidsson flirted with a 60-point campaign just two seasons ago, so he could still be a productive player for fantasy managers if he finds a good fit in Boston.Spencer Dinwiddie Lands With Charlotte
Spencer Dinwiddie agreed to a one-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, per Shams Charania of ESPN. Dinwiddie spent last season with the Mavericks, posting averages of 11.0 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.6 rebounds in 27.0 minutes per contest across 79 games. Charlotte will be the sixth team Dinwiddie has suited up for in his NBA career since his rookie campaign in 2014-15. The 31-year-old will join newly acquired guards Collin Sexton and Tre Mann in the Hornets' backcourt.Source: Shams Charania

Josh Jung Sent to Triple-A
Josh Jung to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday and activated infielder Jake Burger (oblique) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Jung, the former eighth overall pick in 2019 out of Texas Tech, has managed to stay healthy in 2025 but has floundered at the plate in 75 games. The 27-year-old right-handed slugger is currently slashing .237/.283/.366 with a career-worst .648 OPS with eight home runs, 35 RBI, 25 runs, four steals and 73 strikeouts in 297 plate appearances. Jung was even worse in June, slashing .158/.208/.221. His numbers under the hood don't bring much optimism, as he's in the 37th percentile in xwOBA, 34th percentile in strikeout rate, 11th percentile in chase rate and 48th percentile in hard-hit rate. Josh Smith should see most of the playing time at the hot corner in Texas until Jung returns in the second half.Source: Texas Rangers PR
The Texas Rangers optioned third baseman Miguel Andujar Expected to Begin Rehab Assignment on Thursday
Miguel Andujar (oblique) joined Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday and is expected to start his minor-league rehab assignment on Thursday as the designated hitter. If Andujar avoids any setbacks on his rehab assignment with the Aviators, it's possible he'll be able to return as early as this weekend for a series against the San Francisco Giants in Sacramento. The 30-year-old veteran has been sidelined since June 2 with a Grade 2 right-oblique strain. When he returns to the big leagues, Andujar should see pretty regular playing time between left field and third base, which is bad news for both Max Muncy and Luis Urias (hamstring). Before his injury, Andujar was hitting a strong .296 (50-for-169) but with only three home runs, 20 RBI, 19 runs and a steal. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues shouldn't be interested in Andujar.Source: MLB.com - Martin Gallegos

Kaelen Culpepper Collects Two Hits, Steals a Base on Tuesday
Source: MiLB.com
Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, one run scored, and a stolen base on Tuesday for Double-A Wichita. The 22-year-old is hitting .297 with a pair of home runs in nine games since his promotion from High-A, and for the season is slashing .294/.386/.476 with 11 home runs and 17 steals in 63 games. The performance has earned him a selection to the All-Star Futures Game, and also vaulted him into the Top 100 on MLB.com's top prospects list that was refreshed at the beginning of July. If he continues his trendline, a late-season MLB debut in 2026 would see him join others from the 2024 draft class who've already made it to the big leagues, otherwise, look for K-State product to have a fantasy impact in 2027.Daysbel Hernandez Reinstated From Injured List
Daysbel Hernandez (forearm) from the 15-day injured list and optioned right-hander Kevin Herget to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Hernandez tossed a scoreless inning in his lone minor-league rehab appearance and will now return to Atlanta's bullpen after missing a month with inflammation in his right forearm. The 28-year-old Cuban should return to a high-leverage relief role with the Braves in front of closer Raisel Iglesias, giving him plenty of appeal in fantasy leagues that score holds. Before his injury, Hernandez was a key reliever for the Braves with a 3-1 record and 2.22 ERA with 21 strikeouts, but he's also sporting a 4.07 FIP and 20 walks, so he's due for some serious regression if he cannot improve his command.Source: Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves announced on Wednesday that they reinstated right-handed reliever Walker Jenkins Steals Two Bases, Extends Hit Streak to Seven Games
Walker Jenkins extended his current hit streak to seven games with a 1-for-4 day at the plate on Tuesday for Double-A Wichita, swiping two bags in the contest as well. Since returning from the injured list in early June, the Twins' top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 15) has put all of his offensive tools on display, hitting .292 (19-for-65) with three doubles, two home runs, nine steals, and a 15:18 BB:K in 19 games (11 at Double-A). It equates to an .811 OPS, .394 wOBA, and 138 wRC+ for the 20-year-old. The 2023 fifth-overall draft pick should see some time at Triple-A later this year, but unless he really goes on a tear, an MLB debut could have to wait until next season after he got such a late start to the campaign. The 6-foot-3 slugger needs to be stashed away in dynasty leagues with the multi-category fantasy potential he owns.Source: MiLB.com

Theo Gillen Collects Three Hits, Steals Two Bases on Tuesday
Source: MiLB.com
Tampa Bay Rays outfield prospect Theo Gillen went 3-for-4 on Tuesday for Single-A Charleston, adding a pair of stolen bases in the contest. It was the third straight multi-hit effort for the 2024 first-rounder, going 7-for-12 (.583) over that stretch and pushing his batting average to .285 with a .430 slugging percentage and 28 steals in 47 games. The 19-year-old is walking at an elite 22.1 percent rate to boot, which buoys his Carolina League-leading .460 OBP and second-best OPS of .890. The Rays' second-ranked prospect jumped 10 spots to No. 67 overall on MLB.com's latest prospect list refresh, and should earn some at-bats at High-A later this year.Yimi Garcia Reinstated From Injured List
Yimi Garcia (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned left-hander Mason Fluharty to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. While Jeff Hoffman will remain Toronto's primary closer, Garcia should be the team's primary high-leverage, late-inning setup man now that he's back with the big-league club. Before injuring his right shoulder, the 34-year-old veteran Dominican had a 3.15 ERA (2.99 FIP), a 1.05 WHIP, three saves and a 24:10 K:BB in 20 innings out of the bullpen. In addition to his three saves, he's picked up six holds and will be very valuable in fantasy formats that award points for holds. If anything were to happen to Hoffman, Garcia would likely step into primary closing duties for the Jays.Source: Toronto Blue Jays

Maxwell Hairston Facing Sexual-Assault Lawsuit
Source: WKBW.com
Buffalo Bills rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston has been named in a civil lawsuit related to an alleged incident that happened in 2021, according to WKBW.com. Bryant Law Center and Meyers & Flowers filed the Lawsuit on Tuesday, and a woman is accusing Hairston of sexual assault while he was a student at the University of Kentucky. Hairston was selected by the Bills in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft (No. 30 overall) after a stellar career for the Wildcats. In 32 games, he compiled 87 tackles, six interceptions, and 10 pass deflections. This is a situation worth monitoring as he heads into his first NFL training camp.Brenton Doyle Retreats to the Bench on Wednesday
Brenton Doyle will take the day off on Wednesday for the game against the visiting Houston Astros at Coors Field. Mickey Moniak will make the start in center field and will bat sixth against Astros right-hander Hunter Brown. After hitting 23 home runs, driving in 72 runs and stealing 30 bases in a breakout 2024 campaign, Doyle has fallen on hard times in 2025 and is currently slashing just .194/.246/.312 with a .558 OPS, six home runs, 28 RBI and eight steals in 72 games. The 27-year-old has hit .190 (8-for-42) with only one home run, three RBI, a steal, no walks and 11 strikeouts in 10 games over the last 14 days. Fantasy managers can only hope for better days ahead for the power/speed threat in the second half of 2025. Moniak has one hit in three career at-bats against Brown.Source: MLB.com

Josue Briceno Gets on Base Five Times on Tuesday
Source: MLB.com
Detroit Tigers first base/catching prospect Josue Briceno went 3-for-4 at the plate on Tuesday for High-A West Michigan, including a double, two walks, an RBI, and a run scored. It marked the fourth straight multi-hit game for the 20-year-old, which came on the heels of a selection to the All-Star Futures Game and a rise of 15 spots on MLB.com's latest prospect list refresh, from No. 73 overall to No. 58. The recent hot stretch has pushed his season-long batting average up to .291 with a .599 slugging percentage. His 17.3 percent walk rate, which is higher than his 16.4 percent strikeout rate, has helped the Tigers' fourth-ranked prospect to a phenomenal .416 on-base percentage. The 6-foot-4 slugger should be on the way to Double-A in the coming weeks and should be closely monitored in dynasty formats.Royce Lewis Out on Wednesday
Royce Lewis is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest against the hosting Miami Marlins. Brooks Lee will play third base and bat cleanup for the Twins against Marlins right-hander Janson Junk. Lewis returned from an injured hamstring that landed him on the injured list on Tuesday and went 1-for-3 with a double in his first game back, but the Twins will give him a day of rest the following day. The 26-year-old former first overall pick in 2017 has continued to tease fantasy managers with his high-end power, but his inability to stay on the field for long periods of time has made him a frustrating asset to roster. He's gone 21-for-102 (.206) so far in 2025 with only two home runs, nine RBI and 10 runs scored, but Lewis has the ability to be a difference-maker in the power department if he gets on a hot streak.Source: MLB.com
