Blake Grupe a Solid but Limited Option in Week 2
Blake Grupe went 2-for-3 on field goals and 1-for-1 on extra points in the Week 1 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. His only miss came in the third quarter on a 37-yard attempt following a 14-play drive, while he converted from 36 and 28 yards. Grupe is a reliable kicker, but the Saints' offense, led by quarterback Spencer Rattler, may struggle to move the ball consistently. He ranks 21st among kickers on RotoBaller this week.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. Looks Poised For A Better Game
Tyrone Tracy Jr. had a lackluster Week 1, but his fantasy outlook improves considerably heading into a favorable Week 2 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. As the RB39 in Week 1, Tracy managed only 4.5 fantasy points with 24 rushing yards and 11 receiving yards, but he dominated the backfield with a 66.2% timeshare. This heavy workload, combined with the Cowboys' defensive struggles against the run, makes him an intriguing play. Dallas allowed a whopping 158 rushing yards in Week 1, the fifth-most in the NFL, and was the 23rd-ranked fantasy defense against running backs last season, giving up 22.67 fantasy points per game. Given the potential for a high-volume day, Tracy has a chance to deliver RB2 numbers.

Rashid Shaheed Brings Big-Play Upside in Week 2
Rashid Shaheed was the team's third-most productive pass catcher in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, finishing with six receptions for 33 yards on nine targets. His longest catch was just 17 yards, but his speed and explosiveness give him real big-play potential. With Kellen Moore's offense passing aggressively, Shaheed could turn his volume into a breakout performance and projects as a WR4 with upside this week against the 49ers.

Chris Olave Could See Heavy Target Share Again in Week 2
Chris Olave led the team with 13 targets, turning them into seven receptions for 54 yards in Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Kellen Moore's offense appeared aggressive, as quarterback Spencer Rattler attempted a career-high 46 passes in Week 1. This bodes well for the fourth-year receiver, who looks poised to become a go-to target in the pass-heavy attack. Olave should have plenty of opportunities to build chemistry with Rattler and, as long as he remains healthy, projects as a borderline WR2/WR3 this week against the San Francisco 49ers.

Kendre Miller's Role Remains Uncertain in Week 2
Kendre Miller saw limited action in Week 1 but made the most of it, rushing five times for 24 yards. The Saints ran the ball just 22 times while Spencer Rattler threw 46 passes, and Miller was on the field for only 11 offensive snaps. Rookie Devin Neal, who played seven snaps and carried the ball twice, could further limit Miller's role. While he showed flashes of explosiveness against the Cardinals, the Saints' likely pass-heavy approach means Miller can remain on waivers until his usage increases.

Alvin Kamara Looking to Find End Zone Again in Week 2
Alvin Kamara rushed 11 times for 45 yards and one touchdown in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals. Surprisingly, he saw limited action in the passing game despite Spencer Rattler's career-high 46 pass attempts, catching just two targets for 12 yards. Despite this, Kamara showed he still has plenty left in the tank. He looks poised to be effective again against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2 and should see an increased workload as a pass-catcher. He remains a high-upside RB2 this week.

Russell Wilson Looks To Bounce Back Against the Cowboys
Russell Wilson had a tough Week 1, but he has an encouraging fantasy outlook heading into his Week 2 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Wilson was the QB23 in fantasy after mustering only 12.8 fantasy points against the Commanders, throwing for 168 yards and zero touchdowns. However, the Cowboys' defense allowed 24.4 fantasy points to Jalen Hurts in Week 1 and was the 32nd-ranked fantasy defense against quarterbacks last year, giving up 19.6 fantasy points per game. Wilson's 44 rushing yards in the opener, combined with the Cowboys allowing 62 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to Hurts, suggest he has a solid floor and a potential for a major bounce-back performance in this favorable matchup.

Spencer Rattler's Inefficiency Limits Fantasy Appeal in Week 2
Spencer Rattler went 27-of-46 for 214 yards with no touchdowns in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, adding 29 rushing yards on four attempts. Despite the volume, his 4.7 yards per pass attempt was inefficient, and the 46 throws marked a career high. He faces a tough matchup at home against the San Francisco 49ers, who allowed just 150 passing yards to Sam Darnold and the Seahawks in Week 1. Rattler remains off fantasy radars for Week 2 and will need a more efficient showing to keep his starting role.

Brian Robinson Jr. Could Get More Work Amid 49ers Injuries
Brian Robinson Jr. may see an uptick in usage when the team faces the Saints on Sunday. With quarterback Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder) out, wide receiver Jauan Jennings (shoulder) questionable, and tight end George Kittle (hamstring) on injured reserve, San Francisco is short on playmakers. In Week 2, San Francisco may prefer to grind things out on the ground now that Mac Jones is under center. If that's the case, Robinson should mix in regularly in order to avoid overworking Christian McCaffrey (31 touches in Week 1). Robinson projects as an RB4 in Week 2. While he is not a must-start, he is a viable flex in deeper leagues and should be rostered in most leagues.

Eagles D/ST has Cautiously Optimistic Matchup Against Chiefs

Jake Elliott Looks To Stay Perfect In Week 2
Jake Elliott impressed in his season debut, going perfect for the game by making his sole field goal attempt of 58 yards and all three of his extra points. In Week 2 Elliott will travel to Kansas City for a matchup against the Chiefs, who allowed 27 points to the Chargers last week in a loss. The Chiefs gave up five scores on seven drives-excluding the final time Los Angeles had the ball when they ran the clock out. Facing a weak defense and having long range, Elliott should remain in fantasy lineups this week.

Michael Penix Jr. a Solid QB2 Option Against Banged-Up Vikings Defense
Michael Penix Jr. performed well in Week 1, completing 27 of 42 passes for 298 yards and a touchdown without throwing an interception, while also adding six rushes for 21 yards and a score. In Week 2, he'll have a road matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, who were tough against the run last season, allowing the second-fewest rush yards per game (93.2), and who only allowed 61 rush yards to non-quarterbacks in Week 1. It likely means the Falcons will lean on the pass again in this matchup, and the 25-year-old will have a full complement of receivers as Drake London (shoulder) and Darnell Mooney (shoulder) were both full participants in practice on Friday. The Vikings defense will be without a couple of pieces on Sunday, namely Andrew Van Ginkel (concussion), who nearly led the team in sacks in 2024 with 11.5, so the former first-round draft pick shapes up as a mid-range QB2 this week whose arrow is pointing up.

Kylen Granson, Grant Calcaterra Will Fill in for Injured Dallas Goedert
Kylen Granson could see an uptick in targets in Week 2 with Dallas Goedert (knee) officially being ruled out. In Philly's season opener against the Cowboys, Granson was the only other tight end besides Goedert to tally any targets, though it was just one which resulted in a one-yard catch. The Eagles' other option as a replacement is former sixth-round draft pick Grant Calcaterra, who did see more snaps (37) last week than Granson (17). With uncertainty at the position, neither of Philadelphia's backups seem like reliable fantasy options this week against Kansas City. Only consider them for deeper leagues.

Darius Cooper Still Buried on Depth Chart
Darius Cooper failed to get any targets in the opening game of the season against the Cowboys. While Cooper did have a solid preseason showing against the Bengals, he was bound to struggle for looks in the regular season with the amount of talent surrounding him. He is currently listed as the fifth wideout on the Philly depth chart and was on the field for only two offensive snaps in Week 1. In an upcoming faceoff against the Chiefs, this undrafted rookie will likely have a similar workload. Cooper isn't worth looking at in fantasy for Week 2.

DeVonta Smith Should Get More Usage After Disappointing First Game
DeVonta Smith fell victim to a strange week for the Philadelphia passing game against the Cowboys, being targeted just three times for three catches and 16 yards. Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert led the team in targets in Week 1, and Jahan Dotson had the most receiving yards in what was a bit of an anomaly. Philly will likely get back to their normal ways eventually, which favors Smith in this upcoming contest against the Chiefs as the Eagles' typical second option in the passing game. In their Super Bowl LIX clash, Smith led his team in receiving yards (69) and caught a touchdown against Kansas City. He's a player that's known to be up-and-down in fantasy, so managers have to bank on this being an up week for Smith in a favorable matchup-especially with Goedert (knee) being unavailable. The Chiefs let the Chargers pass all over them last Friday, so Smith is a solid WR2 for Week 2 in hopes that his offense can do something similar.
