San Francisco Giants second baseman
Christian Koss turned in a big performance in his team's 10-6 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday. Koss went 2-for-4 with a grand slam to help power the Giants to the win over their division rivals. The rookie infielder erased an early 3-0 Diamondbacks lead with his grand slam in the second inning while also accomplishing the rare feat of making his first career homer a grand slam in the contest. Koss is now hitting .241 with one homer, six runs, and seven RBI across 54 at-bats for San Francisco this season. Big game aside, fantasy gamers will need to see a bit more out of Koss at the plate before considering him for starting lineups in the future.

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman
Josh Naylor had a productive evening in his team's 10-6 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. Naylor went 2-for-5 with a homer, four RBI, and a stolen base in the loss. The veteran infielder blasted a 413-foot two-run homer in the ninth inning to pull the Diamondbacks to within four runs. Naylor is now hitting .296 with five homers, 21 runs, 27 RBI, and seven steals across 159 at-bats in his first season with Arizona. His blend of power and speed makes him a high-end fantasy first baseman.

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder
Daulton Varsho had a big night in his team's 11-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. Varsho went 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBI, but it wasn't quite enough to down the Rays in the high-scoring loss. The veteran outfielder has been productive in limited time this season, hitting just .222 with five homers, six runs, 11 RBI, and one steal across 36 at-bats after missing the majority of April following offseason shoulder surgery. He is worth a look in deep fantasy leagues as a reserve moving forward.

Jacob Wilson stayed red-hot at the plate in his team's 11-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday. Wilson went 4-for-5 with two homers, two runs, and four RBI to help power his team to the win. The game goes down as the first multi-homer game of the rookie's career. Wilson is impressing thus far this season, hitting .363 with five homers, 24 runs, 26 RBI, and two steals across 160 at-bats. He is hitting a blistering .484 with two homers and nine RBI over his past seven games as he makes an early case for Rookie of the Year in the American League. Wilson should be locked into fantasy lineups moving forward.

Texas Rangers relief pitcher
Shawn Armstrong picked up his first save of the season in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Rockies. Armstrong came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning with no outs and runners on first and third.
Chris Martin (elbow) did face one batter before Armstrong but exited due to elbow tightness. Armstrong shut the door on a potential comeback by striking out the side. The 34-year-old veteran has pitched well this season, converting one of two save opportunities with two holds to go with a 3.06 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP, and a 10.19 K/9 rate in 17 2/3 innings of work. Three different pitchers have seen save opportunities for the Rangers in the last seven days and
Luke Jackson (hand) is day-to-day after being hit in the hand by a comebacker. Fantasy managers should wait to see Armstrong earn more high-leverage opportunities before investing a roster spot on him.

Jesus Tinoco pitch into the left-field corner, allowing
Nico Hoerner to score the game-winning run from first. Turner is no longer an everyday player and is slashing .169/.292/.186 with no home runs, nine RBI, and a stolen base in 72 plate appearances. He may not be fantasy-relevant at this point in his career, but he still provides a veteran presence to a Cubs team that is leading the National League Central Division.

Brett Baty had a nice game at the plate in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Pirates. Baty went 2-for-3 with a single and a solo home run. The 25-year-old lined a seventh-inning
Mitch Keller offering just over the left-field fence to put the Mets ahead for good. The former fantasy prospect hasn't hit for a high batting average but has provided power in 2025, slashing .239/.270/.521 with five HR, 11 RBI, and a stolen base in 75 plate appearances. While his power is somewhat intriguing, Baty hasn't provided enough overall and has played very little against left-handed pitching, limiting his fantasy value.

Atlanta Braves outfielder
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in his first minor-league rehab game in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Tuesday. Acuna Jr. played six full innings before being replaced defensively in the seventh inning, which was part of the plan for his first game. The 27-year-old is recovering from a torn ACL, and while the Braves will be glad to have him back, they likely will not rush him given his injury history. The Braves have been targeting a return for Acuna at some point in May. Fantasy managers will be eager to see him back in the big leagues, and his first rehab game was an encouraging one.

With an advanced contact and power profile to go along with a keen eye and ability to steal bases, the 6-foot-3 slugger looks like a future multi-category contributor and should make a run at a major-league debut next season.

Zach Agnos offering into the left-field seats in the eighth inning. Jung has put together solid numbers in 2025, slashing .282/.315/.492 with six HR, 16 RBI, and two stolen bases in 130 plate appearances. Injuries have been an issue for Jung throughout his career, but he has produced decent batting average and power when healthy.

T.J. McFarland (groin) on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to May 12) with a left-adductor strain and optioned right-hander
Elvis Alvarado to Triple-A Las Vegas, the team announced. The club also reinstated right-hander Michael Otanez (shoulder) from the 15-day IL and recalled right-hander
Jason Alexander from Las Vegas. McFarland was pulled from his latest outing after covering first base on a groundout on Sunday against the New York Yankees. The 35-year-old southpaw reliever will now be on the shelf for at least the next two weeks. The former fourth-rounder by the Cleveland Guardians in 2007 has not been anywhere near the fantasy radar and heads to the IL with an ugly 5.23 ERA (3.50 FIP) and 1.74 WHIP with four strikeouts and three walks in his 10 1/3 innings out of the bullpen.

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop prospect
Arjun Nimmala, who started the year as MLB.com's 78th-ranked prospect overall, has moved up to the 59th-ranked prospect overall. That's a jump of 19 spots and the fourth-biggest move higher out of all the top 100 prospects. The 20th pick in the 2023 MLB Draft belted 16 home runs at Single-A last year in 82 games, although it came with a 31.3 percent strikeout rate. Fast forward to 2025, and the 19-year-old is hitting .280 with seven home runs at High-A through 29 games, and while the power is still there, the strikeout rate has fallen all the way to 20.5 percent, a marked improvement over 2024. The 6-foot-1 slugger has an ETA of 2028 according to MLB.com, so dynasty managers have some time to watch the youngster's development.

TJ Friedl (wrist) left Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the visiting Chicago White Sox early due to right-wrist soreness, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Charlie Goldsmith. X-rays came back negative. Friedl was hit by a pitch in the game and also collided with shortstop

Will Benson. Fantasy managers should treat him as day-to-day for now, but it wouldn't be a surprise if we don't see him for the rest of the series against Chicago, which concludes on Thursday. Friedl has been a regular outfielder for the Reds this year and entered Tuesday's game hitting a solid .276 (43-for-156) with three homers, 17 RBI, 23 runs and eight stolen bases in 39 games played.

Boston Red Sox infield prospect
Marcelo Mayer went 2-for-4 with a walk, a three-run home run, and two runs scored for Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday. It's his first home run since April 27, a stretch of 11 games without one, but he's now up to eight on the season with a .275/.342/.500 slash line. His 38 RBI on the season make him the minor league leader in that category. The former fourth-overall draft pick still doesn't have a path to playing time with the big league club, but has logged starts at second base and third base in addition to his primary position of shortstop, giving the left-handed slugger some versatility that should help get him to the majors. Look for a call-up around midseason unless an injury opens up something sooner, and his potential power production makes him one of the top prospect stashes for fantasy managers who have the bench space or an NA spot to spare.
