Los Angeles Angels shortstop
Zach Neto hit his fifth home run of the season on Monday night while going 2-for-4 out of the leadoff spot with two runs scored, two RBI, and a walk. The 24-year-old didn't get started this season until April 18 due to offseason shoulder surgery, but he has been excellent since joining the Angels' lineup. He is hitting .279 with five home runs, seven stolen bases, and a .368 wOBA. He has hit safely in 15 of his last 17 contests, with four of his home runs and all seven of his stolen bases coming during that stretch while he hit .319 with a .402 wOBA. Neto looks locked into the leadoff spot for the Angels and brings good dual-threat production from that spot in the lineup.

Anthony Volpe added a couple of insurance runs in the team's 11-5 win with a ninth-inning home run against relief pitcher
Troy Taylor in Seattle on Monday. Volpe went 2-for-3 with two walks and raised his batting average to .245 on the season. Over his last 15 games, the 24-year-old shortstop is hitting .321 with six doubles, a home run, and a .405 wOBA. He has turned things around after a slow start and should continue to be a solid shortstop option while getting good playing time in a productive Yankees' offense. His numbers haven't been elite, but they have been serviceable and are now trending in the right direction.

Cleveland Guardians third baseman
Jose Ramirez stole three bases in a single game for the third time in his career and the first time since 2021 on Monday night against the Brewers. He went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks to get on base, and all three of his stolen bases came with
Freddy Peralta on the mound. He scored two runs in Cleveland's 5-0 shutout of Milwaukee and now has 12 stolen bases and 19 runs scored in his 39 games this season to go with a .289 batting average, six home runs, and a .354 wOBA. Ramirez continues to be an elite dual-threat option, and his fantasy managers should be thrilled to see him being so aggressive on the basepaths.

Taylor Ward hit the go-ahead grand slam with two outs in the ninth inning on Monday night, giving the Angels a 9-5 victory over the Padres. Ward's ninth home run of the year came off relief pitcher
Alek Jacob, who came on in relief of
Robert Suarez, who was charged with a blown save and the loss. Ward is still hitting just .190 on the season, but his power production has been decent with nine home runs and 21 RBI in 31 games. He has three home runs and three multi-hit games over his last seven games and is still hitting the ball hard despite his low batting average. When he's hot, he can definitely be mixed-league material, so watch closely to see if he can turn this recent surge into a full-blown heater.

Austin Wells connected on his eighth homer of the year in the Yankees' 11-5 victory on Monday night in Seattle. He finished the game 1-for-4 with the three-run homer as his only hit and a sacrifice fly to tack on his fourth RBI of the night. The 25-year-old Yankees' backstop now has eight home runs and 28 RBI in his 36 games, and he is hitting .215 with a .264 ISO, .323 wOBA, and 45.5% hard-hit rate. Wells has established himself as one of the better power options behind the plate, and he should continue to bring solid production behind the plate with a prominent spot in the Yankees' productive batting order.

Trent Grisham had a big night on Monday night, smashing a pair of home runs and going 3-for-6 with two runs scored and two RBI on his pair of solo blasts. His first long ball came in the third inning and his second in the fifth inning, both off Seattle's starter
Emerson Hancock. With the two home runs, Grisham is now hitting .288 with 12 homers and an impressive .440 wOBA in his first 34 games of the season. He already has more home runs than he had last year and is on pace for the best season of his career by a wide margin. Grisham has flashed the potential for this kind of production in the past, but has never been able to put it all together until this season. If he's still available in your league, he's a great waiver wire option, especially if he keeps leading off against right-handed starting pitchers.

Tyler Mahle (4-1) yielded one earned run on four hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings in his team's 2-1 victory against the Colorado Rockies. He struck out five while earning his fourth win of the season. The 30-year-old faced the minimum number of batters in four frames on Monday and allowed just one extra-base hit -- a
Hunter Goodman double to lead off the top of the seventh. Mahle has been fantastic in 2025, sporting a 1.47 ERA and 0.96 WHIP through nine starts (49 innings). His strikeouts are up slightly from 2024 (19.3%), when he pitched just 12 2/3 innings while dealing with elbow and shoulder ailments. However, it's a far cry from the strikeout rates he posted earlier in his career. This is a different version of him than we're used to, but he's still been effective -- even if he is out-pitching his metrics by a good bit (4.10 xFIP).

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher
Jackson Jobe picked up his third win of the season in Monday's 14-2 drubbing of the Red Sox. Jobe pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run on three hits (including a solo home run) and five walks with seven strikeouts. He also hit a batter. The 22-year-old came into the season as one of fantasy's top prospects, and while he is 3-0 in seven starts, his performance has left some things to be desired. He owns a 4.32 ERA with a 1.47 WHIP, a 7.29 K/9 rate, and a 5.40 BB/9 rate in 33 1/3 IP. Walks were an issue at times throughout his minor-league career and have carried over to the big leagues for Jobe. His next scheduled start will be a decent matchup at the Blue Jays. His WHIP may cause concerns for fantasy managers in roto/category leagues, but he could be considered a start for those in points leagues.

Oswaldo Cabrera (ankle) left Monday's 11-5 win against the Mariners in the top of the ninth inning with what appeared to be a serious left ankle injury. Cabrera was attempting to tag up from third base on an
Aaron Judge fly-out and had his leg give out while trying to score. The training staff instantly came out to assist, and Cabrera was placed on a stretcher before being taken out of the stadium in an ambulance. The 26-year-old went 1-for-4 with a single and a walk in the game. Cabrera's health is more important than his potential fantasy contributions, and more information on his injury should become available in the coming days.

San Diego Padres general manager A.J. Preller said Monday that catching prospect
Ethan Salas (back) has a stress reaction in his lower back and will be out into July, per MLB.com's AJ Cassavell. However, the Padres are optimistic that simply resting will only be required for his recovery and that his development should not suffer, other than missing games. The 18-year-old Salas is the Padres' No. 2 prospect and is the No. 29 overall prospect, per MLB Pipeline. His production with Double-A San Antonio has not yet matched his hype, as he has slashed .188/.325/.219 with no home runs, five RBI, and two stolen bases in 41 plate appearances. Salas has been talked about in fantasy circles for some time now and plays a weak position, so fantasy managers in dynasty leagues or keeper leagues may want to hold onto him still if they can.

Tanner Houck turned in another poor start in Monday's 14-2 loss to the Tigers. Houck pitched just 2 1/3 innings, allowing 11 runs on nine hits (including two home runs) and three walks with no strikeouts. He also hit a batter. The 28-year-old had a solid 2024 campaign but has not been able to get anything going in 2025. He is now 0-3 with an 8.04 ERA, a 1.69 WHIP, a 6.60 K/9, and a 2.06 HR/9 in nine starts and 43 2/3 innings. Houck has allowed 11 runs in two of his starts and has only avoided homers in two of his starts. It has been extremely frustrating for fantasy managers, who may be hoping for Houck to return to his 2024 form, but who cannot afford to start him. His next scheduled start is a middling one against the Braves, but fantasy managers may be wise to sit him until he can string together a few encouraging starts.

Moises Ballesteros is expected to be called up to likely start in Tuesday's game against the Marlins. This will be a corresponding move as
Ian Happ (oblique) gets placed on the injured list with an oblique issue. The 21-year-old Ballesteros is the Cubs No. 4 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. He has crushed the baseball this season with Triple-A Iowa, slashing .368/.420/.522 with four home runs, 18 RBI, and three stolen bases in 150 plate appearances. Ballesteros has produced high batting averages and slugging percentages throughout his career, making him an intriguing fantasy player at a weak position. Fantasy managers may not want to pick him up right away without seeing him in big-league action, but they should keep a close eye on his first few games.
