1 week agoDenver Nuggets shooting guard Will Barton came back down to Earth on Sunday, finishing a 115-107 loss to Indiana with 16 points on 7-for-17 shooting. He didn't make a single trey after dropping seven three-point bombs on his way to 31 points in Thursday's win over Golden State. Barton also had seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in the loss. His scoring has been inconsistent throughout the season, so his struggles weren't a surprise, and he actually still scored more than his season average of 15 points. Barton has a favorable matchup on Monday against the Timberwolves, who are allowing the seventh-most points to shooting guards this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic scored a game-high 30 points in Sunday's 115-107 loss to Indiana, shooting 10-for-16 from the field and 8-for-12 at the line. He notched a double-double with 10 rebounds and added four assists and three steals. Jokic has collected four double-doubles in the past five games ahead of Monday's clash with the Timberwolves. Minnesota are allowing opposing centers to shoot close to 56 percent from the field this season, so it should be a good matchup for the Joker. He hasn't had problems performing on zero days rest either this season, and his last appearance against the Timberwolves ended with a triple-double.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoIndiana Pacers small forward Doug McDermott crushed the Denver Nuggets in the fourth quarter on Sunday, helping the team to a 115-107 victory. He led Indiana in scoring with 24 points and 18 of them came in the fourth, which the Pacers won 41-26. McDermott missed only one of his 10 shot attempts and he went 6-for-7 from three-point range. The 28-year-old forward is dropping three-point bombs with 45 percent efficiency this season, so teams have to be very careful against him. McDermott hasn't done much throughout the season, but he's currently on a run of scoring 10-plus points in four of the past five games, so he could be useful for some fantasy teams right now.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoIndiana Pacers point guard Malcolm Brogdon finished Sunday's win over the Nuggets with 22 points and eight assists, shooting 8-for-17 from the field and 2-for-4 from downtown. He also collected three rebounds in 36 minutes of action and committed two turnovers. The 27-year-old guard has been on a nice roll since returning from injury, averaging 19 points, 8.3 assists, and five rebounds, shooting 44.4 percent from deep. He's in a good spot to perform well again on Monday against Utah. The Jazz are a good defensive side, but they have struggled against point guard this season, giving up 23.8 points per 48 minutes. Brogdon had 22 points on 55.6 percent shooting against them in the first meeting of the season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoIndiana Pacers forward/center Domantas Sabonis produced a very good performance against Denver on Sunday, finishing a 115-107 win with his first career triple-double. He had 22 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, shooting 10-for-16 from the field. Sabonis was limited to an 8-5-4 line in his previous outing, so he bounced back in a big way. He's been close to a triple-double numerous times this season and it was only a matter of time before he finally got it. Sabonis will have a much difficult time stuffing the stat sheet on Monday, with Indiana continuing their road trip against Utah, who have a top-10 defense.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge led his team with 21 points on Sunday in the 107-102 win over the Heat. Aldridge did a bit of everything as he nailed eight of 15 from the floor en route to 21 points and added four rebounds with three assists while drilling two triples to go along with two blocks and a steal in 36 minutes of action. Aldridge continues to be one of the more steady players in fantasy and is having an excellent season with averages of 19.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 0.6 steals while connecting on a career-high 1.2 makes from three a night.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoSan Antonio Spurs shooting guard/small forward DeMar DeRozan just missed out on a triple-double on Sunday as he tallied 20 points, nine rebounds and nine assists in the close win over the Heat. DeRozan was excellent as he nailed seven of 16 from the floor while making all six of his attempts at the line and he also chipped in a steal while missing his only attempt from three. The Spurs are just a game and a half back of the eighth-place Grizzlies and with this, it seems the DeRozan trade rumors have cooled off. San Antonio plays again on Monday when they face the Suns, who the Spurs have just a half lead over in the Western Conference.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoMiami Heat shooting guard/small forward Jimmy Butler managed to nail just five of his 16 shot attempts en route to 16 points in the loss to San Antonio on Sunday. Butler did salvage his rough offensive game with six assists and five rebounds while adding two steals across 33 minutes of action. Butler is having a monster season where he is averaging career highs in rebounds and assists, but we have seen his makes from three dip all the way down to 0.7 a night from 1.7 just two seasons ago. If Butler can improve his accuracy from three, he would be knocking on the door of a top-10 player.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoMiami Heat power forward/center Bam Adebayo continued his case to be named an All-Star this season as he provided a big double-double on Sunday, but it was not enough in the five-point loss to the Spurs. Adebayo scored 21 points on 8-for-13 shooting and added 16 rebounds while handing out six assists with two steals and was an excellent plus-12 in 36 minutes of action. Adebayo has been performing beyond expectations this season and is most likely on many teams that are near or at the top of the many league's standings this season.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoMiami Heat guard Goran Dragic recorded an efficient 19 points on 7-for-13 shooting on Sunday in the 107-102 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Dragic added some decent extras with five boards, two assists, and two triples while committing three turnovers in 24 minutes off the bench. Dragic has been a bit streaky as of late and in the month of January is averaging 14.9 points, 4.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 2.6 makes from three in 10 games. He is a borderline hold as he is not providing much else beyond points, assists, and threes.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

1 week agoThe Boston Celtics could once again be without the duo of point guard Kemba Walker and shooting guard/small forward Jaylen Brown for Monday’s matchup versus the Los Angeles Lakers as both have been tagged as questionable to participate. In their absence, Marcus Smart set a new career high in scoring Saturday and would figure to continue seeing an increased role in their absence. Walker has been battling a sore left knee, while Brown has missed each of the team’s last two games due to a sprained right thumb. Check back closer to tip-off to get the final word on both players.--Jesse Borek - RotoBallerSource: Boston Celtics

1 week agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward/center Al Horford (hand) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. He suffered a sprained left hand during Saturday's contest. It's on his non-shooting hand, so that might give Horford a better chance of getting out there. Fantasy owners will have a better idea after shootaround on Monday. Mike Scott and Kyle O'Quinn will likely split up the minutes if Horford sits out.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Keith Pompey

1 week agoUtah Jazz forward Royce O'Neale has agreed to a four year extension with the organization, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal is worth $36 million, so the Jazz are making a big investment in the former undrafted forward. O'Neale has been a reliable player in the Jazz rotation, but belongs on the waiver wire in most fantasy formats. He has some deep league appeal, but isn't a great fantasy option.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Adrian Wojnarowski

1 week agoWashington Wizards guard Jordan McRae (ankle) was able to do some light practice on Sunday. McRae was unable to put any weight on his left foot after suffering an injury during Friday's game. Fantasy owners should consider McRae questionable for Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons.
